Trauma doesn’t heal by ignoring it, it heals when you face it, feel it, and teach your body that it’s safe.

I’m incredible in a crisis.
Cool. Calm. Already moving.
But here’s the part we don’t say out loud:
being great at chaos usually means your nervous system learned it early.
Trauma.
Undiagnosed ADHD.
Living in “stay ready” mode for too long.
So when things finally get quiet?
My body doesn’t relax — it waits.
This isn’t a flaw.
It’s survival skills + pattern recognition + a brain built for response, not boredom.
We’re allowed to keep the superpower…
and heal the burnout. ✨

🧠💫 Talk therapy can help us understand our past — but it can’t help the body complete it.
In Somatic Experiencing, we work with the body to finish what the nervous system couldn’t do back then to shake, grieve, express, or run when we once couldn’t.
Because until the body knows the threat is over, it keeps living like it’s still happening.
That’s why healing isn’t just about remembering less, it’s about teaching the body safety again. 🤍

Dreams come true In the blink of an eye💫
Optimising muscle recovery isn’t just about resting — it’s about giving your body the right conditions to repair, rebuild, and come back stronger. After intense exercise, muscle fibres experience microscopic tears, which is a completely normal part of training adaptation. What matters most is how effectively you support the recovery process. Adequate protein intake provides the amino acids needed for muscle repair, while carbohydrates help replenish glycogen stores that fuel future training sessions. Hydration also plays a key role, as fluids assist nutrient transport and reduce the risk of cramping and fatigue.
Beyond nutrition, sleep remains one of the most powerful recovery tools. During deep sleep, the body releases growth hormone, which accelerates tissue repair and helps regulate inflammation. Active recovery methods — such as low-intensity walking, cycling, or mobility work — can boost blood flow, delivering oxygen and nutrients to damaged muscle tissue. Techniques like stretching, foam rolling, and contrast water therapy may further reduce muscle soreness and improve flexibility by enhancing circulation and easing tension.
Consistency is crucial: the habits you build outside the gym matter just as much as the work you put in during your sessions. When you prioritise recovery, you support better performance, reduce injury risk, and allow your body to adapt in the way your training intends. Recovery isn’t the break from progress — it is the progress

“Touchdown KL ➜ straight into meetings ➜ zero rest.
Body drained, eyes shutting, gastric acting up, fever creeping in… but I pushed through anyway.
Now my body’s begging for a break 😴💛 Time to rest, recover & breathe.” 🥹🫶🏼cings !
