After 10+ years in HR, and reviewing 1000s of resumes, I can tell you how recruiters actually scan your resume. And scientists proved it. They tracked recruiters eye movement and made a heat map. It showed we only look at 4 things. 𝟭. 𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗟𝗢𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗗? Can we hire you where you live? Yes or no. Most resumes close here. 𝟮. 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗪𝗔𝗦 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗧 𝗝𝗢𝗕? What is your current title? Does it match what we need? How long in last job? 4 months, 5 months, 6 months = close. 70% resumes die here. 𝟯. 𝗗𝗢 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗞𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗦? We scan your first 2 bullets for 3 must-haves from the job post. No keywords = no shortlist. 𝟰. 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗡 𝗦𝗨𝗠𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗬, 𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 Summary is a tie-breaker, not a door opener. If you are only fixing your summary, you are fixing Step 4 while failing at Step 1. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝘅: Dont write long summary. Write your top line like this: Marketing Manager | 8 Years | Berlin | HubSpot, Paid Ads | Made $2M sales Want my ChatGPT prompt that rewrites your resume in this exact 6-second scan format? Comment “PROMPT” I will send it. #resumetips #jobsearch #interviewtips #careeradvice
After 20+ years in recruiting, I can tell you this 👇 Recruiters are NOT reading your entire resume. I know… That sounds ridiculous considering that’s literally part of the job 😂 But in reality? Most recruiters are scanning for one thing first: Immediate relevance. And one of the first places they look is right at the top of your resume: Your job title. Then your professional summary. Those first 3–5 lines underneath your name can determine whether they keep reading… Or move on to the next resume. 💬 If I can’t quickly figure out why you might fit the job, you’ve already made my job harder. Here’s how to fix it 👇 🧠 Think of the top of your resume like a billboard. You’re not trying to tell me your entire life story. You’re trying to make me think: “I need to keep reading.” So instead of: ❌ “Experienced marketing professional looking for an opportunity to utilize my skills and grow professionally…” Give me: ✅ “Marketing Manager | 8+ Years B2B Growth | Generated $2M+ Through Paid + Organic Campaigns” Now, in seconds, I know: ✔️ What you do ✔️ How experienced you are ✔️ Why you’re relevant ✔️ What you’ve actually accomplished That’s what gets attention. And attention gets the rest of your resume read. 🛠 BONUS: Use this ChatGPT prompt: “Here is the job I’m applying for: [PASTE JOB DESCRIPTION] Here is my experience: [PASTE RESUME] Write me a powerful 3-line professional summary using my target job title, years of relevant experience, important keywords from the job description, and my strongest measurable result. Make it concise, specific and recruiter-friendly.” And if you want the resume template built around this exact structure… Comment TEMPLATE and I’ll send it to you. 📌 Save this before you apply for another job. And send it to someone whose resume isn’t getting interviews. #resumetips #jobsearch #interviewtips #careeradvice #hiring
The format that works: Hi [Recruiter Name], I’m a [Job Title] with [X years] of experience in [key skills/domain]. I came across your profile and saw you recruit for [specific space/industry]. I’m currently exploring new opportunities and wanted to check if you have any openings that match my background. #trending #fyp #recruiter #howtoDMrecruiter

Recruiter POV 👇 One thing that always surprised me? When I asked candidates if they were interviewing elsewhere, 80–90% would tell me exactly which companies they were talking to. You don’t have to do that. When recruiters ask this question, we’re often trying to understand: • Are you serious about this type of role? • Are you actively searching? • What level of opportunity are you pursuing? • How quickly might you move? Where candidates unintentionally hurt themselves is when they say things like: ❌ “No.” ❌ “I have 17 interviews lined up.” ❌ “I’m applying everywhere.” Because suddenly, hiring teams either question your marketability… or your commitment. The goal isn’t to hide the fact that you’re interviewing elsewhere. The goal is to communicate that you’re being intentional. Something like: “Yes, I’m exploring a few opportunities that align with my experience and long-term goals. That said, I’m being thoughtful about the roles I pursue, and this opportunity really stood out to me because…” Confidence without desperation. Interest without exclusivity. And one last thing… You don’t owe anyone a list of company names. You do owe them confidence that you’re choosing this path on purpose. 👇 Comment INTERVIEW if you’d like my free Interview Survival Guide covering some of the toughest questions recruiters ask (and how to answer them).
You have ONE week before the September Surge hits 👀 Here's what nobody's telling you about job hunting right now: The market feels dead because it kind of is — for the next 7 days. But right after Labor Day, hiring managers come back from summer, new budgets unlock, and recruiters scramble to fill roles before the November slowdown. Translation: everyone who's been "waiting for the right time" is about to flood the market at once. So don't panic that you're not seeing roles right now. This is prep week, not panic week. The #1 thing that actually matters when the surge hits? Volume. Not perfecting one resume — getting your application in front of as many roles as possible, fast. There's a reason mass-applying is the move right now: the pool is so saturated with qualified people that speed and reach matter more than a "perfect" application to one job. Auto-apply tools exist for exactly this reason — they let you cover way more ground without spending 45 minutes per application. Save this so you remember to prep this week 📌 Tag someone who's job hunting rn 👇 Comment "JOB" to get the link #jobsearch #jobhunting #internship #jobrightai #fyp

Recruiters don’t magically find your profile. They search using keywords. When I was preparing for my recent job switch, I focused on making my Naukri profile easier for recruiters to find-not just filling in information. The result? 📈 2,726 Search Appearances 📩 115 Recruiter Actions Here are the biggest changes I made: ✅ 1. Your headline matters more than your current designation Most people simply write their designation. Instead, your headline should tell recruiters what role you’re targeting and what value you bring. ⸻ ✅ 2. Use the keywords recruiters actually search for Recruiters don’t search for names. They search for skills, job titles, tools and domains. If your profile doesn’t contain those keywords naturally, you’ll appear in fewer searches. ⸻ ✅ 3. Your profile should tell a story Don’t treat every section independently. Your headline, summary, skills and experience should all reinforce the same career direction. ⸻ ✅ 4. Don’t copy your resume Your Naukri profile and resume serve different purposes. One helps recruiters discover you. The other helps convince them to shortlist you. ⸻ ✅ 5. Keep your profile active Even small updates can help keep your profile fresh and increase your chances of appearing in recruiter searches. ⸻ There are a few more optimizations I used that made a noticeable difference, but they’re difficult to explain in one post. 💬 Comment “NAUKRI” and I’ll send you the exact ChatGPT prompt I use to optimize a Naukri profile for recruiter searches. 📌 Save this before your next job search.
Everyone applies for jobs in the morning. That’s exactly why you keep getting lost in the crowd. Here’s the hidden truth 👇 ❌ MNC recruiters use ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) that sort resumes by time of submission. ❌ If you apply at 9 AM Monday, your resume gets buried under hundreds within hours. ❌ By the time a recruiter checks, you’re already on page 17 of the pile. But here’s the hack: ✔ Apply late at night (after 10 PM) when most people are asleep. ✔ Your application is fresh in the recruiter’s inbox when they log in the next morning. ✔ Fewer applicants at night = higher chance of getting reviewed. ✔ It’s not luck. It’s timing. I tested this myself — the SAME resume got ignored in the morning but shortlisted at night.
