#labordayweekend @kentuckycampground What a beautiful weekend and campsite! We hiked the skyline bridge at the Red River Gorge, ate pizza @miguels pizza, took several walks, enjoyed live music on Saturday night! We didn’t see bears, but were advised to keep food inside campers! And was on the look for Sasquatch!!

As climbing grows, so does our commitment to protecting the places we love. This year, Access Fund launched not one but TWO conservation crews. Our east & west teams will be working simultaneously, tackling 10 climbing areas across eight states. 📍Where you can find us: 👻 Ghost Town, NC (just wrapped) 🏜️ Indian Creek, UT (there now & returning in the Fall) 🧗 Red River Gorge, KY (see you soon) 🤠 Foster Falls, TN ⚒️ Mt. Charleston, NV 🌲 Index, WA 🍴American Fork, UT ⛰️ Delta Lake, WY 👍 Thumb Open Space, CO 🤝 Meet with the crew leaders and members currently in the field, and stay tuned, because more will be joining our team throughout the year. 🔗 Want to break a sweat for stewardship and help protect some of the country’s most heavily impacted climbing areas? From the hot tub to porch to pool table to 7 beds to the character this is all I need in a Red River Gorge cabin. It’s easy to get caught up in the bells and whistles of Red River Gorge cabins, but I stay so busy here I’m typically always out anyways. SAVE for your next Kentucky roadtrip! 📍Red River Gorge is one of those places I think people seriously underestimate. You can clip yourself to the side of a cliff on the Red River Gorge Via Ferrata, hike up to Natural Bridge, paddle a kayak through an underground flooded mine, and then sleep in an actual treehouse in the forest. I mean… why would I sit still when those are my options? And that’s before you even get into all the hiking. Red River Gorge is packed with sandstone arches, overlooks, rock formations and trails that could easily fill an entire weekend. If your vacations also tend to involve hiking boots, helmets, waivers and very little actual rest, I think you’ll like it here.
