Alcohol cravings can hit HARD sometimes, am I right?
A huge barrier for many people in achieving sobriety is battling the cravings. But, with the right tools and enough patience, they CAN be conquered.
Here’s my top tips for battling cravings: 👇🏼
• Stay hydrated. If a craving strikes, drink a large glass of water.
• Identify your triggers. Recognize the situations/emotions that are causing you to want a drink. Avoid them if possible. If they can’t be avoided, find alternative coping strategies.
• Distract yourself. One of my favorite features on the Reframe app is the “craving mode” which sets a 20 minute timer and has all sorts of games, meditations, videos, and readings for you to refocus your mind. Message me for a link to try it for 2 weeks free!
@reframe_app
• Move your body. Go for a walk, do some light stretching or yoga, dance in your living room. Add in some music and you’re set!
• Reach out to a support person. Let them know you’re battling a craving and ask that they simply talk to you for 15-20 minutes.
• Eat something sweet. Sugar is a great way to mimic the dopamine hit that alcohol provides.
• Practice mindfulness. Do breathwork or meditation. Listen to calming music.
• Have a mocktail or an NA beverage.
(For some people, this triggers them to drink actual alcohol. If you know this doesn’t work for you, then don’t do it.)
It takes practice, but I believe in you! You got this!
Have any of these worked for you? Is there anything you would add? Let me know in the comments!

How can it possibly make sense to drink alcohol “to feel good”, only to feel worse afterward? Let’s do a simple analysis… 💭
Pros: Each drink makes us feel good for about 20 minutes.
Cons: Superficial conversations, wasted money, terrible sleep, hangovers, hangxiety, brain fog, bloating, embarrassment, guilt, shame, relationship problems, and the list goes on…
The truth is that alcohol doesn’t make sense, no matter how hard we try. Is alcohol truly serving us? Probably not ⭐️
It’s time for change. Let’s be the generation that dares to defy the norm and put an end to the madness. Together, we can create a new narrative, one that embraces life beyond alcohol, where authentic connections, personal growth, and genuine experiences take center stage ☀️
Remember that we’re here for you and we’re always rooting for you. Keep pushing through! 🙌

In a heartfelt conversation, Brad Pitt bared the soul of his journey, “Hollywood can be intoxicating, both metaphorically and literally. For a long while, alcohol was my escape from the pressures and the scrutiny.” His battle with alcoholism wasn’t hidden from the public eye, but the nuances of his internal struggles remained deeply personal 🚨
Brad expressed that his decision to get sober wasn’t merely about abstaining from alcohol. It was a profound commitment to self-healing and transformation. “The allure was there, but over time I recognized that I was using it as a crutch,” he recalls. “It was taking away more than it was giving.” 🧠
For Brad, sobriety wasn’t merely a decision; it was a rebirth. “It took hitting a point where I realized I was losing myself,” he remarked. “Getting sober was my way back to my true self, to my children, and to the craft I love.”
By courageously confronting his challenges and embracing the path of recovery, Brad became a beacon for countless others. His journey demonstrates that it’s never too late to rewrite one’s story, find inner strength, and emerge stronger 🙌 Brad’s transformation is a testament to resilience, personal growth, and the endless possibilities that come with change.
Brad’s journey reminds us that breaking the cycle of harmful habits can unlock a world of possibilities. By cutting out what no longer serves us, we make room for growth, joy, and meaningful connections! 🌱

Alcohol memories are glamorized because we focus on the fun moments and ignore the aftermath.
We remember the laughter. The bonding. The feeling of letting loose. The stories we still tell years later.
We conveniently forget the anxiety that kept us up at 3 AM. The things we said that we can't take back. The entire next day lost to a hangover. The shame spiral. The "I'm never drinking again" promise we broke a week later.
This is called "euphoric recall"—your brain's tendency to romanticize the highs while minimizing the lows.
It's why people say "I miss drinking" even though what they actually miss is a 20-minute window before things got messy. They're not missing the whole night. They're missing the edited highlight reel.
But when you recall the full picture—the anxiety, the poor sleep, the hangovers, the bad decisions—the nostalgia becomes much more honest. Truth dissolves romanticizing.
This is the "Play the Tape Forward" technique. Before you drink, don't just think about the buzz. Think about tomorrow morning. Think about how you'll actually feel at 3 AM. Think about the text you'll regret. Think about the conversation you won't remember.
When you play the full tape—not just the opening scene—the choice becomes clearer.
Alcohol isn't giving you good memories. It's giving you edited ones. And you're the one paying for the director's cut the next day.
💬 What's one "fun" drinking memory that looks different when you remember the whole night?

Alcohol, despite its many toxic effects on our bodies, has been heavily encouraged by our society for decades. From social gatherings to advertisements, we are constantly bombarded with messages that tell us drinking is the key to relaxation, fun, and even success. ❌
The truth is that alcohol is a powerful and dangerous substance that can harm our central nervous system, mental health, relationships and finances. ⚠️ In fact, alcohol use disorder is the 3rd leading preventable cause of death in the U.S., and can even cause 7 different types of cancers.
The good news is that it’s never too late to change our relationship with alcohol. Everyone’s journey with alcohol is different. Whether that’s cutting back or refraining from alcohol completely, we have the resources for you!🎉
It’s time we start prioritizing our health and well-being over societal expectations and take control of our own choices when it comes to alcohol. Remember we are here for you every step of the way, keep pushing through! 🙌

Choosing not to drink isn’t about giving something up it’s about gaining so much more.
More energy in the mornings. More clarity in your thoughts. More presence in your relationships. More time for what actually matters. And maybe most importantly, more peace in your mind and body.
At Reframe, we’re here to challenge the outdated narrative that alcohol equals fun, connection, or confidence. The truth? You don’t need a drink to be the best version of yourself.

Next time you find yourself wanting to pick up that first drink, I want you to do one thing.
👏🏼 PLAY THE TAPE FORWARD 👏🏼
Be honest with yourself and ask:
👉🏼 What will the first drink lead to? How many more drinks will you realistically have?
👉🏼 Will it solve whatever it is you’re hoping it will?
👉🏼 How will you feel about yourself if you give in?
👉🏼 Will you get a hangover tomorrow?
If you’re okay with the answers to these questions, by all means, go for it.
But if ANY of these questions elicit a negative response, it means alcohol no longer serves you and it might be time to say goodbye ✌🏼
Distract yourself for 20 minutes and that craving will go away.
(Tip: the Reframe app has a “craving mode” that is wonderful for helping you power through them. DM me for a link to try it for 2 weeks free!) @reframe_app

Similar to ending a toxic relationship, removing alcohol from our lives can greatly enhance our well-being ☀️
Certainly, there may have been some enjoyable moments. However, didn’t the repetitive cycle of hangovers and hangxiety eventually become tiresome?
Consider this: What if there’s someone better out there, patiently waiting for you? The person of your dreams, who perfectly aligns with everything you seek? 💭
And what if that person is actually you? ⭐️
When we break free from the grip of alcohol, we are granted the opportunity to rediscover the person we know best: ourselves. While this may sound daunting, it undoubtedly surpasses the negativity and challenges we have experienced with alcohol.
Remember, you don’t have to go through this alone - we are all in this together. If you’re ready to bid farewell to alcohol but unsure of where to begin, the Reframe community is here to provide you with support! 🙌
