Walls were never meant to be an afterthought. For centuries, they carried craftsmanship, texture, and stories of the spaces they belonged to. Today, we're bringing that idea back through bespoke terrazzo wall panels, brass inlays, relief work, and sculptural concrete surfaces. Every detail is customisable, from colour to finish and texture, making every wall a one-of-one creation. Because the most memorable spaces don't just hang art on the walls. They turn the walls into art. #parmandesigns #terrazzotiles #terrazzodesign #terrazzo #terrazzolove
Trying a new fun reel 😍 Relief work or embossing is a liquid made out of chalk and edible gum. We use this paste to add an embossed layer to the painting. This is an age-old technique used in this art form. And this is one of the most fun parts while doing this artwork. 🥰🥰 . . . . . .#gesso3d #gesso #tanjorepainting #learnart #tanjoreart
Last week, our team visited Antique and Batangas to deliver food packs to evacuees, distributed student allowances, and extended financial aid to fisherfolk and workers under emergency employment programs. Each step met an urgent need and showed our commitment to be present and compassionate. We kept supporting long-term recovery, from relief work to helping people rebuild their livelihoods. We are committed to supporting every community, every step of the way.
Exhibition: The Will to Change the World. In a playful and inspiring way, this exhibition tells the story of Alfred Nobel and shows how the Nobel Peace Prize has evolved over time. From peace negotiations and relief work to nuclear disarmament, climate change mitigation and international cooperation, the history of the award reveals many different solutions to the world’s most crucial and difficult challenges. In the exhibition, you can also take a test to find out what type of peace-maker you are, and which peace prize laureates you most resemble!   We offer guided tours about the history of the Nobel Peace Prize every weekend – in both English and Norwegian🕊️
After meeting the immediate needs of relief work, Convoy of Hope works with those impacted to find sustainable solutions for the long haul. One of those aspects — our Agriculture training and resources — is able to provide for families not just in the immediate aftermath, but for generations to come. 🌱 A team of Convoy staff members is on a mission to raise awareness for that programming, one mile at a time. Here’s Convoy team member and former NFL tight end Vance McDonald with a sneak peek at what’s happening this weekend. 🌽 🏃‍♂️ To team up with Convoy to train and resource farmers all over the world — and plant your very own garden in the process — visit the link in our bio. #convoyrunsforag #ultramarathons #ph100
At @udayfoundation, we run on a tight budget with limited staff. Six volunteers (all fully vaccinated) are on the ground for relief work. You can become our digital volunteer and help us widen our reach. Our aim is to help as many people as possible, in these tough times. Stay safe! 💙🙏🏼 @madhabae
When I first started Thanjavur art, the excitement to see the final gold glow was real. It’s so tempting to jump straight onto the board and start working on the main artwork. But over time, I realized that the entire final look hinges on one foundational step: Gesso (muck) work practice. The precision of your relief work determines how cleanly your 24k gold foil sits, catches the light, and brings the deity to life. Just 10–15 minutes of dedicated gesso line practice every day for a week creates a massive difference in your control. One of the most frequent questions I get is: “Should I use a cone or a brush for muck work?” I’ve spent considerable time with both. While my personal preference leans toward the brush for fluid control, many artists achieve incredible results using cones. The beauty of practicing on scrap sheets beforehand is that you get to test both tools without any pressure, discovering what feels natural in your hands. Plus, the muscle memory you build while guiding thick gesso directly translates into effortless brush control when it’s time for delicate facial features and fine line painting. Take a few minutes to practice your muck strokes before your next board. Your gold foil will thank you! 💛 Which tool do you feel most comfortable with—cone or brush? That’s me just wrapping up a stint in a tiny outback hospital- about 7½ hours from home. I try to do relief work throughout the year to help towns that are struggling to get doctors, or to give local teams a proper break. This place was so cute, the people were incredible, and I had an absolute blast. Rural medicine really is the best job in the world- I feel very lucky to be able to do it. Now… come with me on the 7½-hour drive home! #OutbackDoctor #RuralMedicine #AussieDoctor #LifeAsADoctor #DoctorLife
