For the Culture 💪🏽
The @ReloopDJ RP-7 is here 🔥 An industry first series-manufactured professional direct drive 7” turntable 👀 FINALLY! 🙌🏽
To celebrate it’s release, I paid tribute to my favourite era of turntablism reminiscent of the late 90s @dmcdjchamps classic DJ battles ⚔️ but with a modern twist using @AlgoriddimOfficial 𝗱𝗷𝗮𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼 for iPhone with DVS and the official 7” control vinyl 📲 Such a fun form factor and compact setup - ideal for rocking analog 45’s vinyl too of course 🍩
My routine features timeless material from @DJShadow 💎 @RUNDMC 💎 @PublicEnemy 💎
Share if you’re feeling it 🙏🏽 Let me know what you think of the routine and setup 👇🏽

Fresh out the box and had to get familiar with em. Thanks to the good folks at @reloopdj for having me try out their new turntable, the RP-7 , just made for 45’s. Yes, they’re dope! Since I didn’t have my 45 bag with me, the @algoriddimofficial famm laced me with their 7” control vinyl and use DJay pro on my iphone which made a perfect compact set up and I got comfy on them instantly. Today is the official release date and ’m sure these’ll be hard to get in the next couple of days..or hours..lol

“As a tribute to 45s culture, the Reloop RP-7 captures the unique appeal of this beloved format and honours those who regard 7” vinyl as more than just a music medium. As the first-ever professionally mass-produced DJ turntable for 7” vinyl, the RP-7 breaks new ground for this passionate community to express themselves and inspire new generations.”
Thanks to my man @djangelouk & Marcel for making me look decent on this vid. I’m still a work in progress as you can see, but I’m on my way!

Spent lots of time with the Reloop Mixtour Pro on this trip. It’s easy to use once you wrap your head around the control layout, and it’s lots of fun with djay Pro. Made mixtapes using the djay Music streaming library too.
Personally, skip the Beat Sync and use the Pitch Bend buttons - lots more fun because this retains some manual beatmatching mechanics. Reminds me of how I started DJing with CDs pre-millennium (jogwheels didn’t have pitch bends back then).
The layout also reminds me of what I feel was the heyday of Midi-mappable DJ controllers and apps in the late 00s and 10s. It’s still DJing, just packaged differently in a relatively tiny footprint.
I’d like to see more unconventional controllers like this because we’ve reached peak “two jogwheels and a mixer” over the past five years and there’s room for more creative (if niche) executions. #djlife #reloopdj #djay #algoriddim thanks @danceplanet for the clutch Chroma Caps!
