Renogy really is the superior OFF-GRID solution for all our overlanding needs. So When they asked us to test out their new Mini Core self heating 100 AH battery the answer was an easy yes! The truck currently has 300 W of solar on the roof and 2-100 AH renogy batteries. However with our longer trips and the extra need for power with our baby we were looking to add more AHs. The new mini core is not only self heating which we found is a must for Canadian winters and camping off grid, it is 45% smaller then our other batteries. Making this rebuild and our desire to tuck the batteries behind the fridge a possibility. Solar panels that work in the shade!? • Well.. this is dream 🙌🏽 • @renogyofficial designed a solar panel that continues optimal function through all of the elements road life throws at you! • With my previous panels - if I parked under even a little bit of tree cover or my panels were dirty - my solar output would be significantly reduced. We’re expanding our lithium battery bank as part of our catamaran refit, and we’re super excited to install these semi solid-state lithium Pro S1 batteries from @renogyofficial We’ll be increasing from 600Ah to 1200Ah which is going to set us up so much better for off grid living and full time cruising. It’s 13.9% smaller and 13% lighter than comparable models, has self heating, smart monitoring via the app, and comes with a full hardware kit for securing it to the camper floor! It’s also much more vibration resistant and water, dust, and flame resistant. What a tank! Should make light work of powering the fridge, lights, water pump, and starlink on our adventures!
