drop the don’t and make it an opportunity. there are so many effective ways to lead our kids without using fear.
when fear is instilled, our bodies don’t have the ability to learn most effectively, problem solve, and skill build.

Listening is a skill. Let’s remember that skills aren’t effectively taught by forcing someone to understand them by yelling, threatening, or harshly dismissing them. They are most effectively taught with clear structure, kindness, consistency, repetition, and firmness. Let’s teach listening!

Practice makes progress I suppose😅 Obviously I still demand them around from time to time but if I find a way to say YES, it’s far easier and less power struggle.

5 Ways To Raise Emotionally Intelligent Children #parenting #parentingtips #emotionalintelligence #emotionallyintelligentkids #gentleparenting #gentleparent #emotionalintelligenceforkids
Your toddler doesn’t have to share their snack to be kind. ❤️
When your toddler says, “NO! THOSE ARE MINE!” your first instinct might be to tell them to share.
But sharing should be a choice, not something we force.
Instead, try saying:
💬 “Those are your crackers. You don’t have to share your food.”
Then teach them how to set a boundary respectfully:
💬 “I’m still eating these.”
We can teach kindness, empathy, and respect without making children give up their food.
✨ Save this for the next time your toddler refuses to share!

Teach your child this one word before they need it.
"No."
Many children are taught to be polite.
But they're rarely taught that it's okay to say no to peer pressure, unwanted hugs, unsafe situations, or anything that makes them feel uncomfortable.
This isn't about raising disrespectful children.
It's about raising children who know their voice matters.
Practice saying "no" together before real-life situations happen.
❤️ Save this for every parent you know.
👇 What's one situation where you want your child to feel confident saying "no"?

Stop using strict discipline with your child! Do this instead…#parentingtips #parenting
“Am I respectful if I just stay quiet and do whatever you say?”
That question hit differently. 🥺❤️
As parents, we sometimes confuse **obedience with respect**.
But a child who can say:
“I disagree.”
“I’m upset.”
“I don’t understand.”
“I have a different opinion.”
…and still feels safe being heard?
That child is learning something much deeper than obedience.
They’re learning **trust, communication, empathy, and genuine respect.**
**Your child doesn’t need to fear your reaction to respect you. They need to feel safe enough to be honest with you.** ❤️
Save this for the days when parenting feels difficult.
Share it with a parent who needs this reminder.

No loving parent *wants* to rage at their kids.
You hate the way it feels, actually.
You know you’re not showing up as the parent you want to AND you don’t know how to show up differently when:
A. Your kids don’t seem to listen or obey until you raise your voice or get aggressive
B. No one modeled emotionally mature parenting to you so you don’t even know what it looks like
Friend, we were destined to cross paths for such a time as this.
First, you need to know I used to rage too.
I’m not some “Calm Mom Guru” who has never struggled with anger and has mastered the art of peace and patience.
Nope. Nope. Nope.
I am a recovering anger-holic who happened to find her way OUT.
I used to find my power in rage or aggression.
It was my toxic control tactic when I felt powerless.
It took me years to learn what I can now teach you in a few hours…
Not as an expert,
But as a mom who gets it and has found her way to the other side.
I’ll lead you there if you’ll let me.
I’ve put together a F R E E guide called “The Rage-fr33 Parenting Starter Guide” specifically for parents who relate.
It starts with a quick quiz to identify your “Reactivity Personality” because you can’t change what you don’t fully understand.
Then I will send over a powerful & proven 3-step method, the one I still use EVERY day to stop rage right in its tracks in heated moments.
▶️ Comment GUIDE and I’ll send details right over to your DM’s.
I can’t wait to hear how this simple tool helps you!
