In West Sumatra, there was once a tradition of musical bus horns called kalason. Pak Budahar was one of the last of the "tukang kalason" ("hornman"), young musicians who would sit beside the bus driver and play a special keyboard that turned the buses horn (actually a huge array of air horns under the hood) into a playable instrument. Homesick passengers on the long bus ride across Sumatra looking for a better life could make a request and Pak Budahar would play sweet Minangkabau folk tunes from back home - this one is based on a droning rebab fiddle piece from the province's south coast.
Kalason became such a phenomenon in West Sumatra that "horn music" cassettes were put out in the dozens for folks to listen to at home. After the old Chevy buses that hosted these musical horns were slowly decommissioned in the 1980s, the music disappeared. Here, a local hot rod enthusiast has installed a kalason in his vehicle, allowing Pak Budahar to play the instrument again for the first time in decades.

Inas Inas, a popular song by Mohammed Rouicha released in 1983.
The song Inas Inas is a testimony. It could be translated as: « Tell him, Tell him ». Rouicha expresses his incomprehension at the life that is attacking him, even though he only wants one thing, to love.
Mohammed Rouicha, by his real name, Mohammed Houari born in 1950 and died in 2012 was an amazigh singer. He was specialised in the loutar, a Moroccan musical instrument with rougher sounds.
Rouicha made our hearts vibrate for many years with probably one of his most classic song Inas Inas.

أغنية “إنّاس إنّاس” هي شهادة مؤثرة. يمكن ترجمتها إلى: “قُل له، قُل له”. يعبر رويشة فيها عن عدم فهمه للحياة التي تهاجمه، رغم أنه لا يريد سوى شيء واحد: الحب.
محمد رويشة، اسمه الحقيقي محمد هواري، ولد عام 1950 وتوفي عام 2012. كان مغنياً أمازيغياً متخصصاً في العزف على آلة اللوتار، وهي آلة موسيقية مغربية ذات أصوات خشنة ومميزة.
رويشة جعل قلوبنا تهتز لسنوات عديدة، خصوصاً مع إحدى أكثر أغانيه كلاسيكية “إنّاس إنّاس.
