Sprengningsekspertise: Rogfast 🚧 Stangeland er leid inn for å bidra i utførelsen av den sprengningstekniske delen av de øverste 30m av sjaktene - et presisjonsarbeid som krever både erfaring og spesialkompetanse. Prosjektleder John Olaf Østerhus forklarer prosessen: "Først bores det en pilot ovenfra og ned. Nede er det gjort klar en fjellhall som pilot kommer ut i. Når piloten er nede kobles det på en krone på 2,4m diameter og denne dras til overflaten. Det som skjer nå er at vi utvider hull fra 2,4 til 9,4m diameter med "vanlig" boring og sprengning ovenfra og ned. Massene faller ned i hullet og lagres i fjellhallen før vi med jevne mellomrom laster utsprengt fjell på tunnelsemi og transporterer til dagsonen." After repeated assurances that they weren’t bricking up the entrance after us, we descended into the Rogfast tunnel - the world’s deepest and longest road tunnel, @skanskanorge latest incredible infrastructure project that runs a 33km road tunnel 400 metres under the sea on the west coast of Norway.
