Back with another matcha review — this matcha I bought from Maruwu Seicha who sources it from Matcha Republic. Honestly, didn’t love this one. The matcha felt very basic with no umami or boldness to the matcha. The flavor was pretty weak the no strong notes other than being astringent. While the packaging was cute on the tin, the actual functionality of the tin was lacking as well. I didn’t end up pouting my matcha into the tin because it didn’t seem airtight and felt like my matcha would go bad pretty quickly. Bottom line, for the price, I don’t think this matcha was worth it for me.
