Ils ont collaboré en groupe et réalisé des présentations PowerPoint sur divers troubles le 16 novembre. With over 20 years of experience in education, Nick has held leadership roles across Asia, the Middle East, and the UK, including Principal, Deputy Head, Governor, and SENDCO. His career has focused on child development, professional learning, and enrichment, earning him awards for Wellbeing and Innovation in Professional Development. Nick holds qualifications in Senior Leadership (NPQSL) and Headship (NPQH) and is a member of the British Psychological Society, as well as Chair of a Principal's Society for other International School leaders. A proud Yorkshireman with a BA Hons in English Literature from York St John University, he has taught across various subjects and key stages, including SEN, and is passionate about whole-school development and empowering students and staff. Nick is committed to being a visible leader and enjoys everything from reading with younger students, engaging in peer discussions, as well as attending visiting arts rehearsals. A former competitive endurance athlete and Rugby League enthusiast, he values sport, teamwork, and resilience. Please join us in welcoming Nick to the ISP community.😊

I couldn’t be prouder of my Mia! I had a meeting with her SENDCo at school, and she shared that Mia is such a confident girl who’s absolutely thriving, despite her hearing loss. To top it off, she won an award for being the best netball player, and she was over the moon! 🤩 As a deaf mom raising two deaf daughters, we’re here to show the world that deafness isn’t a barrier—it’s just part of our incredible journey. Deafness has never held Mia or her little sister back—in fact, it’s made them even stronger. They face every challenge with courage, turn obstacles into opportunities, and live their lives to the fullest every single day. With the endless support from our family, the amazing team at @auditoryverbaluk, and their cochlear implants from @medel_global, they have everything they need to thrive. Watching Mia grow, flourish, and prove that nothing can stand in her way fills my heart with so much pride. She’s living proof that the only limits are the ones we set for ourselves. Our Regional SENDCo and Inclusion Manager, Paula, has spent some time over at Fennies Walton creating a self-regulation corner! ⁠ ⁠ This corner in the Inventor's room helps the children understand their emotions and how to self-regulate. Paula has introduced a box of tools and books that the children can use, including this wonderful 'breath box'. The breath box encourages the children to take a deep breath in by smelling the lemon and take a deep breath out by blowing bubbles! 🫧🍋⁠ ⁠ Paula introduced this to the children at Walton and showed them where the box is kept so that it is easily accessible to the children as and when they need it! ⁠ ⁠ This is a wonderful activity you can try at home or when you are out and about to encourage your child to self-regulate! ⁠ ⁠ #sendco #fennieslife #fennies #earlyyears #earlychildhoodeducation

Approach has to be tailored to each child, and that is what we are doing with Eden-Rose.
