Three big things @rockharborchurch tomorrow: 1. Father’s Day!!! Celebrating dads with bacon and more! 2. VBS is about to start, and our building has been transformed! 3. Move Up Sunday— kids in new classrooms, more youth (middle school and high school meet at 11:15am) PLUS: There is good news for us from John 1. Jesus not only is the incarnate son of God; he is the eternal son of God. This makes him uniquely able to show us what God is like…and God is so much better than we imagined. 8am // 9:30am // 11:15am // 5pm Rockharbor.org
Daniel 3:24–25 (KJV) “Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”
Somewhere along the line we made God safe. Vague. Something you tap into. A frequency you align with. A vending machine you manifest your way into. But the God I’m talking about has a name and it’s not “the universe.” It’s Jesus. Not a force. Not your higher self. Not whatever version of Him fits your playlist and leaves your lifestyle untouched. The Son of God. Nailed to a cross for sins that were mine, not His. Buried like it was finished. Then Sunday happened. He’s not a vibe you align with. He’s a King you bow to. And He’s reigning right now, whether it offends you or not. So here’s the line in the sand; keep the watered down god that asks nothing of you and saves no one, or bow to the real One who demands everything and gives you what the whole universe never could. Choose. 👇 If Jesus is King, drop His name in the comments. Say it loud. - - - - #jesus #god #christianreels #christianlife #faith
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 Been meaning to do this for a while didn’t know today would be the day.. @2819church family has been a real blessing to me Lord Jesus all the day that are left for me I give them into your hands… with God all things are possible 🙏🏾 #faith #baptism
The Passion of the Christ (2004) portrays the final hours of Jesus Christ as the ultimate revelation of sacrificial love, presenting the heart of Christian redemption through the suffering, crucifixion, and triumph of the Son of God. Just as the prophets foretold a suffering servant who would bear the sins of many, the Passion of Jesus demonstrates that the greatest victory in God’s kingdom is achieved through obedience, sacrifice, and unwavering love for humanity. Sent by the Father to redeem a fallen world, Christ’s journey—from the agony in Gethsemane to the glory of the Resurrection—reveals the central Christian truth that salvation was purchased through His suffering. Christians see the Passion of Christ as the fulfillment of the covenant promises spoken throughout the Old Testament: where Adam’s fall brought sin into the world, Jesus—the new Adam—restores humanity through His obedience unto death. His endurance on the Cross becomes the ultimate act of divine mercy, showing that even in the darkest moment of human cruelty, God’s love prevails. Through this powerful cinematic portrayal, the themes of redemption, forgiveness, and eternal salvation are vividly displayed, reminding believers that the Cross is not a symbol of defeat but the doorway to everlasting life for all who place their faith in Him. #faith #bible #christ #ThePassionOfTheChrist #ChristianMovies

Christianity is not a buffet where you take the parts that are convenient and discard the truths that make you uncomfortable. It’s binary. Jesus Christ is the Son of God. God gave His only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. If you believe that, there is no gray area. And that’s where Talarico gets it wrong. Being “nice” is not the same thing as being faithful. I know devout Christians who aren’t always nice. That’s a personality issue. Truth is a belief issue. Christianity does not require us to hate people who disagree with us. It requires us to love them. But love does not require surrendering the truth. There are eternal truths that do not change with politics, polls, culture, or convenience. We don’t get to rewrite Scripture because the world finds it uncomfortable. Respect everyone. Love your neighbor. Defend their right to disagree. But never confuse tolerance with surrender. We are allowed to believe. We are allowed to say it. And we are allowed to stand unapologetically on the Word of God. Some truths are not negotiable.
@pastororlandohunt Why Jesus? — The One Who Came, Died, and Rose Again Jesus was not merely another prophet in history. He claimed an authority that shocked the people around Him—authority to forgive sins, authority over nature, and authority over death itself. He knew the thoughts of people. He walked on water. He raised Lazarus from the dead. And when He was crucified, His followers proclaimed that He rose again. The controversy was not simply about what Jesus did—it was about who Jesus said He was. When Thomas encountered the risen Jesus, he responded, “My Lord and my God.” Jesus did not turn him away. He invited Thomas to see and touch the wounds left by the crucifixion. This is why Christians believe Jesus is more than a prophet. He is the Son of God, the Savior, and the One who will return. And if we speak about Jesus to our Muslim brothers and sisters, it should never be with hatred, arrogance, or violence. We speak the truth in love. We love people enough to share what we believe, while recognizing that every person ultimately has a choice about what they will do with Jesus. The question is not simply, “Who was Jesus?” The deeper question is: Who do you believe Jesus is? ✝️ Jesus is Lord. Jesus is risen. Jesus is coming again.
