I’ve had a lot of people ask why I suddenly decided to sharing my journey with PPD and fitness….and honestly, I felt like maybe someone could hear it and resonate with it. That was enough for me to just..try.
And I was scared. I was anxious. And I was worried about what people in my real life would think and say about me.
But once I started, I decided to mind my own business when it came to the opinions of others. I ask my group of girls for feedback and I post. I stopped worrying about what someone might say. Here’s the truth: I know people don’t like me, I know I’m not everyone’s cup of tea but I’m really really doing myself a disservice by allowing that to stop me from ultimately doing what I want to do or love all bc I’m afraid of a little bit of shit talk.
I’m proud of me. My husband is proud of me. My son doesn’t know how cool his mom is…yet. And I have a super freaking amazing group of friends who hype me TF up. I have had such a fun time connecting and sharing stories with women on here.
Cheers to taking up space and being delusional. It’s super fun.

Weights make you strong, functional and create a bad A metabolism which aides in fatloss without starving yourself and help with hormone balance❤️!
Have you heard people say this about weights or that they don’t want muscle but want to tone? Any thoughts or experiences? Please share!!
I need you to know getting toned and firm simply mean adding muscle and you do that with weights and you have to use weight heavy enough to challenge you ❤️❤️❤️. For years females have been sold on the idea to not get too bulky or get muscle but toned and firm were good! It’s a sales gimic ladies! I hear this ALL THE TIME and it make zero sense.
Cardio alone will not help you maintain a strong BMR (basal metabolic rate) long term especially as you age. Your bone density reduces, hormones shift and with little muscle your metabolism will slow down faster!!!!!
And let me say this isn’t a bash on cardio either - I love cardio I do it for my heart, lungs and my mental health! However, I lift weights to keep muscle on because it makes my metabolism run like a champion! I also lift because it makes me strong, functional, and is forgiving as it allows you to eat a lot more food so you don’t have stay in the “eat less and less “ mindset which is exhausting mentally and physically.
So please use weights, challenge yourself. It’s called resistant training because you’re suppose to have to work hard to resist the weight! There are so many styles of training and I go over the variations of reps and such in my podcast episode number 49 (Make It Simple with Andrea Allen) on setting up your own strength routine based on goals and equipment. I highly suggest a listen!
But at all costs, try to steadily increase your weights your body will thank you year after year as you age, stay strong, metabolize food quicker and have less aches and pains from a sturdy frame!

I mean that’s the whole point of this whole growth thing right?? Be better than I was yesterday.
I’m proud of the girl who got me here bc I wouldn’t be here without her. But 10 toes down, the version of who I am today would eat her for lunch: mentally and physically. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, motherhood unlocked something fierce in me. No going back

It all feels like such a good idea until the reality of parenting hits on Sunday morning. And parenting a three and a one-year-old hungover is not for the faint hearted.
Thank god for my husband and sister-in-law taking the reins so I could enjoy myself . 🙏🙏🙏
So apparently when things get a lot more views you have to explain being human and going out out as a mum …. Grow up please, my kids always come first, my kid are always safe. Don’t message me ✌️🤍

Comment “WORKOUTS” and I’ll send you my exact workouts I do💪🏻🔥
As I’m in the “trenches” of newborn it feels like my fitness is so far away but I keep reminding myself this is a season and it serves a purpose.
I am so proud of how hard I worked after my first baby to get STRONGER than before.
It may seem far away from runs feeling “easy” and workouts where I’m lifting the same weight but you CAN DO IT. Join me!!!!
Things I did:
🔥 I dialed in my nutrition without restrictions - fibre, protein, carbs
🔥 strength training 4-5x a week & honestly not much longer than 35 mins each time! Followed a structured and progressive plan.
🔥8-10k steps a day - just moving throughout the day helped so much with walks or runs
🔥 hydrate and drink water
🔥 sleep! I know this one is tough but the longer my baby slept as the months went on it helped so much with my day to day
Where are you in your fitness journey?? Postpartum?? Pregnant? Trying to get stronger???
The #strongasamother thing is for realz 💪
But also, I’m gonna try hard to fit that second lift per week in bc I feel so much better afterwards!
