On a sun-dappled Sunday morning in early September, a crowd of around 60 people gathered at the Sac River. Rather than casting fishing poles or sightseeing along the bank, the group had come to witness a series of river baptisms after their church service, creating a scene reminiscent of times gone by. Compared to the traditional church outfitted with stained glass windows and a pipe organ, @sacrivercowboychurch’s second location in a livestock center may come as a surprise, but it's straw-covered floor and casual dress code offer a uniquely inviting space for worship. Over the 18 years since the church was founded, the congregation has steadily grown, attracting a wide range of people from city-dwellers to country folk. “It actually feels like family. It’s that everybody knows each other.
