Growing up, @saltnpepaofficial weren’t just hip-hop icons to us, they were our ROLE MODELS. These fly girls from New York were loud, confident and unapologetically themselves! Meanwhile, we were two shy (believe it or not 😉) girls from Philly growing up with a severe speech impediment, afraid to speak in public. We would watch Salt-N-Pepa and think, “Damn… we want to be THAT confident one day!” 🙌🏾
Then, on our birthday in 2022, we finally met our childhood idols and they have shown us nothing but love ever since. 🥹From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU, Salt-N-Pepa, for embracing us the way you have.
We were fans then. We’re fans now.
