LEARN the Samoan Alphabet with me! Signing with Auslan finger spelling (the sign used in Samoa). This song completely changed my life and gave me the confidence I needed to embrace the Samoan language. Thank you to the original creators of this song, @loopytuneskidsmusic for sharing your gift with us! This short video is my remake of this song, using Samoan words local to Samoa, accompanied by Auslan sign language (which is the sign used in Samoa). 🇼🇸 I hope this song reaches as many hearts and homes with alofa (love) this week! Sincerely, Alexia-Rae.

Back home in Malie, Samoa 🇼🇸. Instead of calling the cows by name, my family friend bangs on an old fridge that's been turned into a water trough. The cows hear the sound from the hills and come running down for a drink. It's a simple moment, but it reminds me how connected our people are to the land, our animals, and nature. Sometimes the simplest moments are the most beautiful. This is why we must never forget our roots. #samoa #nature #back2ourroots #fiji #tonga
The reason @palagiboiofficial learnt fa’a Samoa to the point where it became second nature that he’d sometimes forget to even speak English altogether 😂🇼🇸
As daylight savings begins, here’s the story of how Samoa once skipped ahead not by one hour but by 24 hours.
I was born in New Zealand and raised by two Samoan parents. Throughout the years, I’ve always tried to proudly represent my Samoan roots because I know how powerful representation can be. When you see someone who looks like you traveling the world, acting on the big screen, competing in sports, or achieving things you once thought were out of reach, it plants a seed. It gives you the confidence to think, “I can do that too.” When I watched Moana, I couldn’t hold back my tears. For the first time, I truly saw myself on screen. I heard the language of my parents, the language of my people. I saw our traditional Samoan clothing, our weaving, our siva, our culture, our values. I saw my people. I saw me. That kind of representation is so much more than entertainment. It tells our children that they belong, that their culture is beautiful, and that their stories deserve to be told. And for those of us who grew up rarely seeing ourselves reflected in mainstream media, moments like this are deeply emotional. Representation matters. Not because it makes us feel included for a moment but because it reminds us that we have always belonged. Thank you @therock for bringing this to life ♥️ #samoa #samoan #viral #culture #moana
