A bystander near the Arkansas River in Sand Springs recorded a shocking scene as floodwaters carried an entire Dollar General building downstream. The structure appeared largely intact as it drifted with fast-moving water and debris.
The person filming can be heard reacting in disbelief as the building passed by. Officials have not confirmed how the structure became dislodged, and no injuries have been reported at this time.
Conditions along the Arkansas River remain unpredictable.

Our kids ages are 2.5, 6, 9, & 15 years old- to give more perspective!
Turkey Mountain- Near the new Tulsa area on 71st. This place is phenomenal and has a stroller friendly paved trail!
Keystone Ancient Forest- Sand Springs, OK.. One of my favorite because they have so many trails to choose from that range from stroller friendly to more difficult (you’ll want to use a carrier for babies/toddlers).
Osage Hills State Park- Near Bartlesville and about an 1 hour drive from Tulsa. The place is completely family friendly and has trails galore. To my knowledge, most trails would not work with a stroller.
Sequoyah State Park- About an hour drive from Tulsa! This is such a fun state park and sits on the Eastern edge of Ft. Gibson Lake. We’ve done the Whispering Pines trail and you could easily take a stroller. Isn’t not necessarily paved, but you could make it work.
Greenleaf State Park- You can get there within an hour from Tulsa, OK & the place is so pretty! The specific trail we went on that leads the water edge was so fun for kids, but I wouldn’t recommend a stroller (even though there are parts you could make it with one).
Roman Nose State Park- This one is just under the 3 hour mark from Tulsa, OK, BUT it is completely worth the DRIVE. It is home to an ADA paved trail that is beautiful and is ideal for someone with special needs or could be used with a stroller. The park has several other trails that are SUCH a blast & your kids will NEVER want to leave :)
Chandler Park- Sitting right inside Tulsa on W. 21st Street- There is a ton to do HERE for families! They have a trail called The Lost City, that winds you way down into a really neat area surrounded by GIANT boulders. This specific trail would NOT be stroller friendly, BUT definitely one to baby or toddler wear. Our kids absolutely LOVE this trail and it is a family favorite during the fall season!
Robbers Cave- Located about 2 hours from Tulsa, this makes the perfect family friendly day trip. Trails galore. The main trail takes you way up on the boulders and bluffs and would not be stroller friendly. I recommend baby or toddler wearing.
