This was a project for #ShotOnOPPO . Everyone stood there bowing down to devtas(deities) of Sangla. Shri Bairing Nag ji dancing with their brothers, I looked around and watched everyone standing there transfixed, numb, with hands folded, knowing that what they were witnessing was more than words could ever explain, beyond every reason they held within, beyond every thought they could conceive. The devtas danced around temple courtyard, with the villagers of Sangla, the sound of their folk songs mixing with the cymbals and drums, with shehnai mixing with the sound of “Holi Hai” providing perfect music for all the commotion within us to silence itself. And then filled with that silence, I stood there, without any need to explain anything to myself, floating somewhere deep within, nowhere in search of something, but with all the bliss I could feel. I stood there, without words, and yet with each of them, without a reason, and yet with all of them, with no knowledge of how I landed in the midst of all this, and yet, with all the understanding of how I arrived.
