I’ve just completed work on the final 8 seconds of a 60-second continuous one-shot climbing the massive tower of Barad-dûr. I felt that the top of the tower and the iconic fiery Eye of Sauron deserved special attention. After weeks spent refining details, athmospherics and effects, I finally reached a point where I can call this section complete and move on to finalizing the rest of the shot. This is only the ending. The full one-minute climb from the bottom of the tower to its summit is still in the works.
