This sewing project tested some new skills for me BUT I think it turned out quite well (if I must say so myself)! I think this will be a summer staple with all this hot weather in the UK right now ☀️
This fabric was a birthday present from some of my family and obviously I couldn’t wait and had to make something asap! I got 3meters and still have enough left to make another dress 👀🤩

Not every sewing project has to be a big one. 🧵
When people first learn to sew, it's easy to think every project has to be something impressive.
A dress.
A shirt.
A pair of trousers.
But I've always believed confidence is built a little differently.
Sometimes it comes from finishing something simple.
Yesterday I found this little teacup in a charity shop, and I knew exactly what it was going to become.
A pincushion for my sewing room.
It didn't take long.
It didn't need loads of fabric.
And every time I use it, it'll remind me that sewing isn't always about making the biggest project.
Sometimes it's simply about enjoying the process and creating something you'll smile at every time you sit down to sew.
