Last week, we partnered with the Pasadena Community Foundation and local leaders to bring brand-new, high-quality athletic shoes to students at Odyssey Charter School in Altadena, CA! Today is National Shoe The World Day. We’ve spent the last week talking about why shoes matter and watching YOU give so generously to the goal of giving 5,000 kids a pair of long-lasting, opportunity-giving shoes. And you crushed the goal! After unlocking an additional $20,000 matching dollars, our updated dream was to get to $90,000—giving 9,000 kids a pair of shoes. Right now we are now at $86,017.98! Today, Tunez Footwear had the opportunity to visit the amazing students at Winston Park Elementary School ❤️ We spent time with two groups of incredible 2nd graders talking about something we all use every day… our feet ❗️ The students learned that the human foot has 26 bones and over 7,000 nerves, and why taking care of our feet is so important 💯 Then we asked them a fun question: “If you had a superpower… what would it be?” The room filled with imagination — from flying, to super speed, to helping people around the world 🔥 We reminded them that if they strive to be super smart, stay curious, and keep learning, anything they dream about can become their reality. To end the session, the students designed their very own Superpower Sneakers — showing us what their dream shoes would look like if they had powers. Moments like this remind us that what we’re building is bigger than shoes… it’s about inspiring the next generation to walk confidently toward their dreams ❤️ #TunezFootwear #EveryStepPerfectlyTuned #CommunityImpact #FutureLeaders #SouthFlorida 💪🏾🔥

For many children, shoes are not just about comfort or style - they mean the ability to go to school, play safely, and walk with confidence. At our company, we believe every child deserves that opportunity. That’s why we’re proud to announce a special Buy 1, Get 1 Free offer on all kids’ shoes from Sunday March 15th through midnight Monday March 16th. When you buy a pair for a child you love, another pair goes to a child who needs it. I was heavily inspired by the @futureof_education @alphaschool_2hrlearning (USA) model, which requires kindergartners to master independent life skills—like tying shoelaces—before moving up. So, I told Aryan a tiny white lie: You can't go to Class 1 unless you know how to tie your shoes. 🤪 ​And guess what? It worked! We turned a regular trip to Zudio into a pop-up classroom. ​From an educational psychology perspective, tying shoes isn't just about footwear. It’s a massive brain booster! It builds: 🧠 Bilateral Coordination: Using both sides of the brain to manipulate the laces. ✋ Fine Motor Skills: Strengthening the small muscles needed for handwriting. 🧩 Executive Functioning: Memorizing the sequence (cross, loop, pull) builds working memory. ​Giving our kids the autonomy to master these daily tasks boosts their self-efficacy and confidence right before a big transition like starting Grade 1! ​Moms, what’s a white lie you’ve told to teach your kid a life skill?
