Sign painting is not for the weak. Even on lovely warm days the heat can burn away at your neck, sculpting that stunning T-shirt tan and your paints and brushes will dry up faster than my patience on the tube in rush hour. But I’m always drawn back to it: the mess, the tactility, the view from the top of my ladder. Being away to step back when the job is done and admire your creation leaves you with a level of gratification that cannot be replaced #signpainting #handpainted #signs #handlettering

Sign painting artisans are signwriters, although in North America they are usually referred to as sign painters. I’m very grateful to say this year has been VERY busy and I have a very busy few months ahead too. This does mean I’m a bit rubbish on socials atm though, sorry bout that. There’s something special about helping a business come to life, stand out, and show off its personality through custom hand-painted signage. Watching a blank wall, window, or storefront transform into something that reflects the heart of a business never gets old. And honestly, the fact that it’s often just me, a ladder, a brush, and a dream makes it even sweeter. All businesses deserve to be seen, and I’m grateful every time I get to help make that happen.
