Super fun recent commission! I was given a loose design and redrew it, playing around with a stippled sponge background and some brass escutcheons to give it some old-school funk. Thanks Nicholas! 💫 signpainting signwriting goldleaf gilding gold signwriter satisfying

Proud to be a part of the rebranding of The Duke of York's Theatre into The Tom Stoppard Theatre. Gold leaf outlines on burgundy letters. @purcellbranding did a fantastic job and I was happy to be a small part of this historic change in the West End. #westend #tomstoppard #theatre #signwriting #goldleaf

Okay but why does this look like melted chocolate 🤤 ⁣ ⁣ Some slow brushstrokes for this evenings post, because sometimes I have to remind myself that I need to slow down, and I imagine there’s a few of you out there that probably need the same reminder. ⁣ ⁣ Also for anyone that sees me in person, if you spot a small scar on my forehead, I’ve got these hench galvanised steel signs to thank for that… turns out when I bent over to pick something up, the very sharp corner was closer than I thought, so I ended up with a hole in my head. ⁣ ⁣ So much for ‘ah it’s only small, it won’t scar’ 🙃 ⁣ ⁣ ✨ ⁣ ⁣ Open, Closed & directional metal signs painted for @sprigsco, Pythouse Kitchen Garden earlier this year ⁣ ⁣ ✨ ⁣ ⁣ #artfulcharlie #signwriting #realtime #brushstrokes #satisfyingpainting

Here’s one you don’t get asked for often But that’s the fun part of this job, there’s always something new (even if it’s old) I’ve recently started a YouTube channel too with longer videos start to finish “@realfakesigns” #delage #handmade #signwriting #patina #vintage

Can’t decide if this is almost done or to add way more to it 😅 I started adding an ivory outline around the outer edge of the letters but I was unsure so I rubbed it off. And then done it again and then rubbed it off again 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 . . #signwriting #signpainting #tattooshop #signmaking #enamelpaint

It’s always good when you get to a show and realised you’ve forgotten the sign that explains what you’re doing there! And for the life of me I cannot find it anywhere so here’s a lil one I knocked up while Jess was setting us up for lessons at @camp_vc ! I get to meet so many interesting people at Camp and getting to talk to them actually really helps when painting on their lids. It stressed me out at first realising I didn’t have my original sign but what I’ve learnt is any problem can be solved by sticking sublime green flames on it 🔥 • • • #campvc #womensupportingwomen #customhelmetpainting #signsbyjorge #signwriting
