I didn’t declutter just to have a cleaner home, I did it to protect my peace.
After decluttering over 50% of my home 10 years ago, I promised myself I’d never go back to living in chaos.
Here are the 10 things I no longer allow back into my home 👇
1. Cheap dopamine shopping items...
I used to hobby-shop for a quick high, then regret half of it. These days, I ask myself: Do I really need it?
2. Extra decor to switch out frequently...
I used to rotate pieces for every mood or season. Creating a space I truly love made all that unnecessary.
3. Holiday towels & themed pillows
... they were cute until I needed an entire closet to store them. Simplicity feels better.
4. Bulk items I don’t have space for...
I’ve learned to shop for the space I actually have. No more bulk buckets of honey!
5. Workout clothes I don’t need
... buying more leggings never made me move more. I already have plenty that work and chose to pass.
6. Single-use kitchen gadgets... I won't purchase avocado slicers or heart-shaped waffle makers anymore. Multipurpose tools only.
7. Hobby gear I haven’t committed to
I try first, then decide if it deserves a whole closet full of gear.
8. Collecting bags I’ll never use...
free totes used to excite me. I keep the few that actually earn their spot and say no to the rest
9. Buying bins and baskets before decluttering...
It felt productive, but it was just like organizing clutter. Now, I clear a space first, then decide if I need better containment.
10. Knick-knacks... I avoid them like the pest. Clean surfaces equal calm energy.

Is your closet bursting at the seams with too many clothes?
Yet somehow, you still feel like you have nothing to wear.😣
👗 More clothes might actually be adding to your stress!
Here’s how ⬇️
Decision Overload: Too many options can lead to decision fatigue, making it harder to choose.
A packed closet can feel overwhelming and chaotic. More doesn’t always mean better. Sometimes, we buy impulsively instead of thoughtfully.
💡 Tip: When decluttering, ask yourself: “Would I buy this again today?” If the answer is no, it’s time to let it go.
Comment 💬 how many items in your closet you absolutely love and wear regularly. Be honest! 🫣
I think my answer would be 25 items! 👗

At 53, I’ve realized enjoying my life has just as much to do with what I STOPPED doing as what I started doing.
I stopped…
✌️ Drinking diet soda all day like it was water.
✌️ Drinking a whole POT of coffee every day and calling it “energy.” 😂☕️
✌️ Drinking alcohol because I realized I genuinely feel better without it.
✌️ Saying YES when every part of me wanted to say NO.
✌️ Sitting at the gossip table. If the conversation requires tearing somebody else down, I’m out.
✌️ Keeping negative people close just because we have history.
✌️ Letting somebody else’s bad mood become MY bad mood.
✌️ Staying up late for absolutely no good reason and then wondering why I felt like garbage the next day. 😂
✌️ Feeling like I have to explain every boundary I set.
✌️ Feeling guilty for resting or taking care of myself.
✌️ Overcomplicating my makeup routine. I don’t need 14 bottles and 47 steps anymore. 😂 One palette and I’m good.
✌️ Waiting for “someday” to wear it, use it, do it or GO. Life is happening right now. ❤️
And somewhere along the way, I stopped making taking care of myself so dang complicated too.
I traded the pot of coffee, diet soda and constantly looking for something to get me through the day for one simple drink I make every morning.
Nothing complicated. Just something I stay consistent with because I like how I feel when I take care of myself.
Turns out, I don’t need MORE at 53.
I want simple.
I want peace.
I want good people around me.
I want to feel good.
And I want to actually ENJOY my life. ❤️
Maybe that’s one of the best things about getting older…
You finally figure out what deserves a place in your life — and what doesn’t.
53-year-old me protects her peace a whole lot differently than 33-year-old me did.
And I kinda like her. 😎❤️
What’s ONE thing you’ve stopped doing as you’ve gotten older that made your life better?

[FR] Quels conseils vous donnait votre père ?
🌿
🌿
Et vous, lequel préférez-vous ou essayez-vous d’appliquer ?

My dad’s were wise and are still very useful to me! They have shaped the person I am and are real tools for personal development!
🌿
It’s not always easy to apply the 1st, especially when I start entrepreneurship and it’s tempting to look at what others are doing, but comparison is never good!

And which one do you prefer or are you trying to apply?

Planning lunch is annoying AF! 🙄 But here's why I do it anyway...
Every time you stand in front of your fridge asking "what should I eat?" you're burning precious mental energy on a decision that doesn't matter! 🧠⚡
My lunch formula: 3 simple ingredients, same bowl, every day. Done. ✅
🍽️ 2 rice cakes + tuna/chicken + white cheese = FUEL
Why I swear by this:
• Zero decision fatigue
• No "oops I ate junk" moments
• More brainpower for things that actually matter
• Consistent energy all afternoon
This isn't boring - it's FREEDOM! 🔓
When you remove tiny decisions that drain you, you unlock mental space for the big stuff that moves your life forward.
Stop wasting decision-making power on lunch! Save it for your business, your goals, your dreams. 🚀

When you start sorting your things into categories, ask yourself:
Do I love it?
Do I use it?
Do I actually have space for it?
If the answer’s no… you already know what needs to happen.
The longer you hold onto old memories and things that no longer represent who you are, the more they quietly hold you back…
