#Simube
Since the release of the SHUB by Simube on AliExpress I've been having connection issues where the FFB suddenly cuts out for an instant then comes back. So far I've replaced my PCB 3 times. The last one I paid for because was out of warranty. Simube's customer service has been great so far. Their reply very quick to try and resolve my issues. Now that I'm on version 1.5 of the PCB they say that no other customers have complained about connection issues. I've updated to the latest software and hardware version but still have the issue.
I know some will say go OEM and maybe that's what I should have done from the start but usually people rave about the quality of simube.
FYI, I'm using CSL DD with simube QR2.
I've been in communication with simube and they are refusing to provide replacement V1.5 PCB. They are adamant that the disconnection issue has been resolved with the latest V1.5 board and that it is my CSL DD that has the issue.
More specifically, a grounding issue. They said their products have been developed and tested using the DD1, DD2, and DD+ bases which have superior grounding compared to the CSL DD and cross compatibility could be an issue.
The smoking gun is that my CSL BMW wheel works perfectly fine with no disconnections where as their SHUB constantly disconnects. They have admitted that they use different materials for their PCB that has different "anti-interference" properties. That could be the reason why it works better.
I guess I'll have no choice but to try and ground my base and see if that resolves any issues....but I have my doubts...
