This is what that one social worker is like who's been at the agency for 30 years and her name is Barbara and you know she's the only one who can get you on a housing waitlist within this century, but she will never tell you how 😂 #socialwork #socialworker #socialworkstudent

Testing the generations 😂 Gen Z, Millennials & Gen X all have their own way of doing things… and somehow we ALL think ours makes the most sense. 😂 Clinicians—one thing we can agree on: documentation shouldn’t take all night. Comment NOTES and I’ll send you the Copy-Paste Clinical Notes Toolkit 📝✨ #socialworker #socialwork #socialworkers
I had a baby bathtub and a crib. I had been a licensed foster parent for almost 2 months and had only done respite care for a 13 year old boy. While I waited on a call from DCS saying that she was on the way, my friends dropped off clothes, formula - my best friend drove to friends’ houses and picked up items. It was truly a team effort. I had nannied, LOVED babies and felt very comfortable around littles. I had done the trainings. I was “technically” ready. But, there was something that happened when the social worker pulled up to the curb at my apartment building. I looked at her and she said, “You can get her out.” She handed me a diaper bag and said, She ate at 7.” That was it. The whole exchange took maybe 45 seconds. It was 8:30pm. All of a sudden, I was totally and completely responsible. An instant parent. I’d never been a mom before. She ate at 7. But there was no one to tell me what her schedule should be. Me: ok, how often do newborns eat? How do you make bottles again? Whats the ratio for formula? She smelled like maple syrup. Like, not a good kind of sweet maple syrup. Like - terrible air freshener maple syrup and she was in a giant yellow nightgown. Petrified, with the help of my best friend, I gave her a quick bath and got her in a onesie. Frantically googling - how often should a one-week old eat? I’m telling you all of this because this was my entry into motherhood. This is how I became a mom. An October night, in an exchange that took less than a minute. People think becoming a mom always looks like a pregnancy announcement. Or a hospital room. Or months of preparation. Sometimes…it looks like standing in a parking lot at 8:30pm holding a diaper bag and a whispering a terrified prayer. And somehow…that scared single woman in the apartment became her mom anyway. #thisisfostercare #singlemom #fostercare #singlemomlife #adoptionjourney

💔 This movie absolutely destroyed me. 🎬 Fathers & Daughters (2015) A deeply emotional story about the bond between a father and daughter—and how the wounds of childhood can follow us long after we're grown. In the 1980s, Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist and widower Jake Davis struggles with grief, a mental breakdown, and serious health problems while raising his young daughter, Katie, alone. Years later, an adult Katie lives in Manhattan and works as a social worker, but the pain of her childhood still affects the way she sees love, trust, and relationships. The story moves between the past and present, slowly revealing how a father's love, struggles, and absence shaped the woman Katie became. 🥺 It's not just about a father's love. It's about how the people who raise us can shape the way we learn to love ourselves and others. 💭 Some childhood wounds don't disappear when you grow up—they simply become harder to see. 🎬 Follow @multiplex_cinema_shorts for more emotional movies, unforgettable scenes, and stories that stay with you. #FathersAndDaughters #AmandaSeyfried #RussellCrowe #EmotionalMovie #Heartbreaking MovieReels Hopecore Life Perspective Mindset Corecore Love

For far too long, girls were taught to be agreeable while boys were excused with, “boys will be boys.” Girls were expected to tolerate. Stay nice. Keep the peace. And accept unacceptable behavior. But we’re changing that. So one day, when someone crosses a line, she won’t shrink. She won’t second-guess herself. She’ll stand firm. Because confidence isn’t created overnight. It’s built every time you teach her to trust her instincts, use her voice, and know that unacceptable behavior is still unacceptable behavior, regardless of who it’s coming from. ⛓️‍💥 Breaking cycles starts with us, but the future belongs to her. 🌠Follow @iam_natashamoore for empowered healing inspo.
