SUSTAINABILITY ICONS, YOU HAVE BEEN SUMMONED! We need solarpunk looks, aesthetics, art, architecture: share what you can and be creative! One thing to keep in mind, though: Solarpunk is a sustainability movement, that means we’re not creating waste. We’re reusing, DIY-ing and supporting small sustainable makers and businesses. This is about creativity, not ordering a costume from am*z*n— y’dig?? Thanks and can’t wait to see what you come up with!! I’m tagging @plantkween for inspo because so much of the fashion, positivity and nature education are giving solarpunk, dahling 💖🪴✨ #Sustainability #hopecore #environmentallyfriendly #sustainablefashion #FashionForward
We're testing this theory at @brightside.world SOLARPUNK SOLSTICE where we spend the day living in a future village that marks the changing season with mindful nature walks, intention setting, flower art, nature play, and dancing together under the summer sun. This is the New World Order’s biggest fear…Solarpunk. It’s seen by some as Science Fiction, and by others as the only option for the future. It rejects climate doomerism and instead enables hope that we can use technology for good, have local food economies, and a sustainable future. Solar: Renewable energy, green technology, and a hopeful outlook Punk: Rebellion against dystopian or hyper-capitalistic futures, it advocates for community resilience, and self-sufficiency This future is built around sustainability, decentralized technologies, and local food economies. The elites don’t want you to know many countries are already showing it’s possible: New Zealand: turning public parks into working orchards England: replacing about 8 miles of roadside grass with wildflowers Thailand: replacing plastic packaging with banana leaves Japan: grocery stores put pictures of farmers next to their produce Costa Rica: first tropical country to reverse deforestation These countries are micro-examples that solarpunk is possible, we just need to put all the right pieces together. Unfortunately, the reality is a lot different in other regions: allowing forever chemicals, glyphosate contamination, and industrial farming to devastate communities. We have the power with the decisions we make everyday. You can get closer to your food by finding farmers near you producing everything you’d normally buy from a grocery store. Food is the most basic daily ritual that makes us all human, and making that practice closer to nature will push us towards solarpunk.
Permeable pavers are so awesome! it They help prevent flooding by slowing down water and allowing it to be absorbed into the soil, which acts as a filter so pollution doesn’t reach ground/surface water that humans and plants and animals rely on. Africa is making our solarpunk dreams a reality! In Kenya, a company called MycoTile is making biodegradable yet affordable building materials out of fungi grown on plant-based agricultural waste.
Our goal as a brother owned and operated brand is to bring about a Solarpunk future with the tools and systems we are building today. Thank you all for helping fund Altordo.com! It releases this November. @thelineanimation made this amazing Animation! We know its a yogurt ad, but its the best animation out there to show off what Solarpunk is! #solarpunk

Solarpunk is movement imagining a future where humanity evolves alongside nature instead of against it. Unlike the internet’s constant fixation with cyberpunk dystopias full of collapse, surveillance, and neon-lit decay, Solarpunk presents a future built around clean energy, green architecture, sustainable technology, community living, and ecological balance. This particular visual comes from the 2021 Chobani animated commercial Dear Alice, created by The Line Animation. The film follows a grandmother narrating a letter to her granddaughter about how humanity chose to rebuild the world differently through renewable energy, regenerative farming, public spaces, and collective care. Over time, the ad became one of the internet’s most recognised examples of Solarpunk aesthetics, not because it felt unrealistic, but because it imagined a future people actually wanted to live in. Solarpunk is ☀️ one of my most favorite artistic movements out there that highlights optimism, sustainability, but also brings back themes of punk!! The last few months I started reading more fictional books after needing a break from non fiction and realized how much imagination is needed to build movements. And when I mean imagination, I mean what comes from within the brain and the personal self. I’ve spent days daydreaming about what a solarpunk future looks like to me and how one may be able to achieve it through collective imagination AND how it requires the power of community through a lens of localization. cynicism is smarter. until you realise it’s costing us community, happiness & makes us complacent. of course we don’t want to be blind to the tragedies but to be hopeful means re-imaging a future for us all. that’s the psychology of hope. 🎟️ follow along for part 2 where i dive deeper on how we can become more hopeful & take action towards a solar punk future 🪷 because hope is a radical act. #hopecore #solarpunk #psychology #behavioralscience #cynical
