Ever spent ages chasing a mix only to realise the problem was at the input? 👇 Before you reach for the fader, check your gain. 🎚️ When a mix feels hard to control, I go back to the input. A healthy signal with room for peaks gives you a solid starting point for every decision that follows. Too low and you can end up bringing noise up with it. Too hot and you risk clipping before you’ve even started shaping the sound. Take the time to get your gain right.
