Is South Shields' King Street & Market always this quiet...? 🤔
or did I just come at the wrong time?

Finally made it into Watchet Market House Museum yesterday 🏛️✨ ( @lovewatchet )
It’s not open all year, so it felt like a bit of a win to actually catch it open… and honestly, it might be the smallest museum I’ve ever been in 😅
Tried using my @meta glasses to read the information (because I can’t see it properly), but of course… no internet, no luck 🤦♀️
Still really enjoyed it though – loads of interesting bits inside including fossils, old photos, and artefacts showing Watchet’s history. The building itself is pretty special too, dating back to 1819–20 when it was originally a market house.
It’s free to enter (donations welcome), and definitely worth a quick look if you’re in the area.
Watch the video for a little walking tour 🎥

A #walk along #jubilee way in #scunthorpe. This was once John Street where all the #buses travelled along to get to the old bus station.

200+ years. 8 generations. One Southampton story. 👞
For English Tourism Week, we’re celebrating the local stories that shape our city—like W.J. French & Son in Bedford Place. 📍
Family-run since 1803, this independent shoe shop has been part of Southampton life for over two centuries, built on expert fittings, craftsmanship, and genuinely caring about every customer who walks through the door. 👟👢
Now led by Caroline French—the first female owner—the business continues to evolve, with modern updates and the next generation already getting involved.
It’s businesses like this that give Southampton its character and keep people coming back. ❤️
