#StandByMe
Stand by Me (1986) is a film directed by Rob Reiner, based on the novella The Body by Stephen King. The story follows four friends, Gordie, Chris, Teddy, and Vern, who live in a small town in Oregon and decide to go on a journey to find the body of a missing boy. Along the way, they face dangers, fears, and conflicts while strengthening their friendship and realizing that they are slowly leaving childhood behind. The film stars Wil Wheaton, River Phoenix, Corey Feldman, and Jerry O’Connell and has become a timeless classic about friendship, growing up, loss, and nostalgia. Stand by Me celebrates 40 years and remains one of the most memorable stories about the transition from childhood to adolescence.

29 YEARS OF BE HERE NOW 🥂💿
29 years ago today, Oasis released Be Here Now — an album that captured the band at the absolute peak of their 1990s excess, ambition and confidence.
“Stand By Me” was Released as the album’s second single, it became one of Oasis’ biggest anthems — but one of its most iconic moments came in a much more intimate setting.
🎸 The legendary acoustic performance by the pool.
No massive stage. No wall of guitars. Just Noel, an acoustic guitar and that unmistakable voice, performing Stand By Me in a stripped-back setting by the swimming pool.
It’s a completely different side of the song — quieter, rawer and somehow even more emotional. A reminder that underneath the huge production of Be Here Now, the heart of Oasis was always in the songwriting.
