UPSC Polity PYQ 🇮🇳

⭐ You will crack UPSC in 1st attempt if you master these Polity topics
(Not the whole book — just the parts UPSC milks every year.)
---
1️⃣ Constitutional Bodies (UPSC’s evergreen scoring vault)
Election Commission, CAG, UPSC, Finance Commission.
UPSC format repeats: powers, limitations, appointments, removal.
Mastering just this pocket fixes 3–5 MCQs yearly.
---
2️⃣ FR + DPSP + FD — the "Triangle of Repeated Questions"
UPSC doesn’t ask definitions — it tests relationships.
If you can link FR ↔ DPSP ↔ FD logically,
your GS2 & Essay answers look topper-grade instantly.
---
3️⃣ Amendment Game (British fear → Indian resistance → change)
UPSC frames questions around:
Which amendment did what? Why? What changed after?
Memorise intent + impact, not article numbers.
This becomes PYQ gold.
---
4️⃣ Parliament Procedures — the trickiest high-yield zone
Zero Hour, Question Hour, motions, committees.
UPSC loves eliminating using tiny rule differences.
Understand usage → accuracy skyrockets.
---
5️⃣ Federalism & Centre-State Relations
Cooperative vs competitive, All-India Services, 7th Schedule, Inter-State disputes.
UPSC uses case-based & scenario-based framing here.
GS2 mainstay + prelims booster.
---
6️⃣ Emergency Provisions — small chapter, insane returns
Condition → who declares → effect → safeguards.
UPSC asks 1–2 Qs almost every cycle.
Mastering this = easy marks others skip.
---
7️⃣ Local Government (73rd–74th Amendments)
Decentralisation, Finance Commission to Panchayats, urban governance gaps.
Heavily used in GS2 + Essay + Ethics examples.
One-time mastery → multi-paper scoring.
---
8️⃣ Judicial Review, Activism & Doctrines
Basic structure, PIL, natural justice, collegium debates.
UPSC tests your reasoning, not memory.
Perfect for opinion-based mains scoring.
---
9️⃣ Important Schedules & Their Logic
Not rote learning — pattern recognition:
Land reforms (IX) → Anti-defection (X) → Tribal areas (VI).
1-2 MCQs every other year.

UPSC questions are not random. Many questions come from current affairs linked with the GS syllabus.
In this short, I explain a simple strategy :-
When you read newspapers, always connect current affairs with History, Geography, Polity, Economy or Environment.
Example : UPSC asked a question on Mahatma Gandhi in 2015 because 2015 marked 100 years of his return from South Africa (1915).
Whenever you see :-
• 50 years
• 75 years
• 100 years
• 125 years
• Important Anniversaries
There is a possibility UPSC may ask questions from that personality or event.
Smart Newspaper Strategy :-
1. Identify important current affairs
2. Link with GS syllabus
3. Find historical/economic/political background
4. Prepare static + current together
This is how we can study current affairs strategically.

STOP scrolling—who really controls the power?.

🇫🇪 Federal System
Power is shared between central & state governments 🏛️↔️🏠
👉 Both have their own authority
👉 Example: India, USA
👉 Pros: Better representation, local needs fulfilled
👉 Cons: Conflicts between center & states
.
.
.
.
.
🏢 Unitary System
Power is centralized in one main government 🏛️
👉 States/regions follow central authority
👉 Example: UK, France
👉 Pros: Faster decisions, strong control
👉 Cons: Local issues may get ignored
.

⚖️ So what’s better?

Who is more powerful in India? 🇮🇳😳
👉 President or Prime Minister?
Most aspirants get confused here…
✔️ President = Nominal Head
✔️ Prime Minister = Real Executive
💡 WHY?
Because President works on the advice of the Council of Ministers, led by the PM.
👉 So, real power lies with the Prime Minister 🔥
