Newtown's best-kept secret? The little pink library on Darley St 💗 It's our Street Library 📚 a tiny box packed with free books, sitting right outside 11–13 Darley St. Take one that catches your eye or leave one you've loved. And it's a proper circular economy project ♻️ Built by our very own Christiane, painted with reclaimed paint from @circlepaintsreuse, using materials from @reversegarbage, and installed free of charge by the legends at @orishon_projects. Nothing new, everything loved. Been meaning to start that novel? Consider this your sign 👀 #NewtownNeighbourhoodCentre #Newtown #InnerWest

📚 Not my usual content but I made a street library! Hope my neighbours love these books as much as I did! . . . #streetlibrary #books #reading @streetlibraryau

If there’s one book that ends up back in my street library more than any other, it’s It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover. I think I had three copies at one point! My street library is basically a holding pen for Lily Bloom. 😂 IT NEVER ENDS (with us)

How great is this?! Recently a street library was added to our local community and it is proving very popular. There are already so many great reads available and we had to wait for a group to finish swapping their books over, before we could have a look. I don't need a new book to read yet, but thought I'd donate one that I've finished and so that someone can enjoy it too. Do you have a street library near you? Can you believe what I found in the local Street Library this week! I redesigned the window display to showcase these darker romantasy & fantasy books. they deserved to be front & center!! If you have not come across a Street Library yet, they are also know as free libraries. You are most welcome to take, leave or exchange books at no cost, with no paperwork required and the majority are accessible 24/7. The libraries are put up and maintained by community groups or individuals so free books are accessible for most. I contribute by organising their shelves when I go past, I’m not sure if I’d call that being a help or a hindrance though! ♥️  Love a well stocked little free library ♥️ 📚  I was thrilled to find this street library near the Purling Brook Falls track, chock full of J D Robb and vintage Georgette Heyer, plus the  Breaker Morant biography by the brilliant Peter Fitzsimmons that I haven't read yet. 🌳  We spent a couple of days hiking and relaxing in the Gold Coast hinterland, and when we return in a few weeks to finish the local walks I'll be bringing fresh books to donate back! 💚 Do you search for little libraries when you're on hols? #purlingbrookbooknook #littlefreelibrary #springbrookmountain #springbrooknationalpark #streetlibraryaustralia  #booknook #littlelibrary #booknookstagram #purlingbrookfalls @streetlibraryau #bushwalkingaustralia #hikeaustralia #homelibrary #bookcollector #bookcollection  #youcanneverhavetoomanybooks  #bookishpost #bookishthings  #bookishreels  #bookaddicts #booksforlife #anybookanytime

There are many ways us bookish people walk, but it is often with a book… and being near a street library is also a bonus 😄 #schoollibrariesmatter #readingmatters #streetlibraries #booknerd #booksbooksbooks #bibliophile #fhclibrary #schoollibrary #schoollibrarian #reels #bookreel #bookreels #igreels #reelsofinstagram #libraryreels #bookstagramreels #booksbooksbooks #aussiereels #aussiebookreels #reellibrarians
