Things I wish I focused on my first year out of dental hygiene school 🦷✨🔺🔝 Your first year out is such a transition 😅 Real patients, real schedules, real pressure, real chart notes, real perio, and suddenly you realize school was just the beginning 🪥💭 New grads… you do not have to be perfect. I know I’m not the only one… 😅🎀but as a new dental hygiene grad, chart reviewing and keeping track of everything during an appointment felt overwhelming at times. 🦷💗✨ ⸻ More often than not, I barely had time to flip my room 🪥💨 — let alone sit down and do my notes. Especially when the dentist wanted the radiographs up during the entire time of the exam?! 🧚🏻‍♀️✨ ⸻ By the end of the shift it was a full-on sticky note nightmare. 📝💗Sometimes I’d have one tiny note that didn’t remind me why I wrote it… and other times I had three sticky notes for one patient with a hefty treatment plan thanks to rampant decay. 🫠🦷 ⸻ Creating a system completely changed that for me. ✨📋 It helped me stay organized, focused on patient care, and tracked everything I did — so by the end of the day I didn’t miss a single detail when I did chart notes 💗🦷💅 Link 🔗 in my bio if interested 💕🛍️ #rdhlife #studentrdh #rdhtip #futurerdh #chartnotes
