pink & blue back to natural brown correction ˚˖𓍢ִ໋❀ this one tested my color theory knowledge and I loved the challenge. It's always a weird day when you put green on pink and orange on blue hoping for brown How do you think I did? This correction was a few months ago, and I can say her hair faded perfectly naturally with no unwanted colors bleeding through!! You know some stylists might label a client who wants to constantly change their color difficult, I personally think it’s fun! However, it does come with limitations to maintain hair health. A lot of times when working with colors you’re trying to cancel you might end up with something you don’t want so you have to find placements that work for it, more coming on that tomorrow. These are the same basic color, at the same level, but different intensities. If you train your eye to see it, it'll change the formulation game for you. We watch stylists look at tones that seem close enough and assume they’ll act pretty much the same in their formula... then get a big surprise when they overtone or undertone with it The difference in chroma really matters... Don't just name the basic color, name how strong it is. It's absolutely worth it 💯 #themoreyouknow🌈 #haircoloreducation #haircolorformulation

We work with color lines that give us swatchbooks..(if you're lucky to get one lol!) They don't come with a ton of context so there's a lot of deciphering going on when you 1st convert over. And it really is like a full on conversion...no line is the same! Not even the neutrals... We've seen soooo many neutrals in these last 6 years of teaching hair color to stylists that use lines from all over the world 🌎 It's phenomenal how many different versions of N there are out there 🤪 It's important to know what you've got coming from those tubes. A lot of the time they're not gonna match what you see in the swatchbook. Some of them are a closer match and some of them are waaaaaay off lol. If you don’t really know what you've got, you'll be going into your formulations a bit blind 😬 All rights reserved #themoreyouknow🌈
