#Throwback to celebrating Swedish Midsummer’s Eve 🌸 aboard HMS Gladan of the Swedish Navy during the impressive #Sail250 stop in Norfolk, Virginia, last weekend.
Alongside an international fleet of tall ships and military vessels, we joined the celebrations marking America’s 250th anniversary. 🇸🇪🇺🇸
This weekend you can catch @gladanochfalken in Baltimore, MD before she makes her way to New York City and Boston.

Tall Ships tomorrow ⛵️
Don't forget to RSVP to our Sail Boston Celebration at @paramariaboston! Visit the link in our bio + story to reserve your spot.
This World Oceans Day, we celebrate the seas that connect our ports, crews, and the sail training community across the world 🌊
At Sail Training International, we recognise the crucial role that our oceans play in our daily lives. Today, we celebrate the significance of our oceans and reaffirm our commitment as a charity to try to protect and preserve them.
Through The Tall Ships Races we empower young people to become champions of the seas. Our oceans inspire the incredible trainees we welcome onboard each year.
Who’s taking to the seas this summer for The Tall Ships Races 2026 and celebrating an amazing 70th anniversary?

While all of the Tall Ships currently visiting Boston are incredible, a few truly stand out - and one of my favorites so far is the BAE Guayas naval training ship from Ecuador. 🇪🇨
This majestic 257-foot, three-masted barque is docked at Pier 11 in the Charlestown Navy Yard, and is absolutely breathtaking.
Tomorrow, Sunday, July 12, visitors to the ship can board for FREE to explore the decks, meet the crew, enjoy Ecuadorian food, see live traditional dance performances, make traditional crafts, and more.
The event is one day only, and is a great reason to head to Charlestown for some Ecuadorian culture (and be sure to also check out the @uss_constitution while there!).
Do you have a favorite Tall Ship so far? Let me know!
The tall ships are back for a Fourth of July chaser featuring a festival with vendors, a beer garden, and a Ferris wheel (July 11-15), two fireworks displays (July 11 and 15), the Crew & Cadet Street Parade (July 13), a Navy soccer tournament (July 14), and the flagship—pun intended—event, the Parade of Sail seen here (July 11), when the ships strut their stuff for viewers across the waterfront.

As part of America’s 250th birthday, tall ships from across the world are gathering for a boat parade.
Over 30 ships will sail up the river from the Verrazzano Bridge to the George Washington Bridge on July 4th.
Before they get there, though, they’re hanging out at the Jersey Shore. Ships have anchored in Sandy Hook Bay.
This isn’t the first time this has happened: tall ship parades took place in
-1976 for America’s 200th birthday
-1986 for the Statue of Liberty’s 100th birthday
-1992 for the 500th anniversary of Columbus landing in America
-2000 for the Millennium
-2012 for the 200th anniversary of The Star-Spangled Banner
