I CAN’T believe this EXISTS 😂 📍Tarpon Springs, FL Did you know theres a secret greek city in America 😳 Its called tarpon springs and its in florida 🏝️ And im not joking even the street signs are in greek 🚸 Literally 1 out of every 10 people here are greek 🇬🇷 But the reason why is crazy 🤔 100 years ago greek sponge divers came here and realized this is basically a sponge gold mine 🪎 So much so that this is literally the sponge capital of the world 🌎 Thats why you see them everywhere 👀 And you can buy them everywhere 💰Like their high school teams are called the tarpon springs spongers 😂 #tarponsprings #greece #vacation #florida #placestovisitinflorida

Who else loves Fred Howard Park Beach? 🌴🌊 This might be one of the most underrated beach spots in Pinellas County. Located up in Tarpon Springs, you take a beautiful one-mile causeway surrounded by water all the way out to the beach. Once you’re there, you’ve got white sand, calm Gulf waters and some seriously incredible sunset views. It definitely has a different vibe than some of our bigger tourist beaches — a little more laid-back, local and Old Florida. The reality is… Everyone moves to Tampa/St. Pete because of the sunshine, beaches, and no state income tax. But those aren’t the only things people end up talking about once they actually live here. What they don’t realize is how many completely different lifestyles exist within the Tampa Bay area. You can spend your weekends walking to breweries in downtown St. Pete, biking the Pinellas Trail through Dunedin, watching sunsets in Clearwater, boating from Tarpon Springs, or enjoying a small-town feel in places like Palm Harbor and Safety Harbor, walking through Hyde Park and the Tampa river walk… Most people think they’re moving to one city. In reality, they’re moving to an entire region made up of dozens of communities, each with its own personality, pace, and lifestyle. Another thing people don’t expect? How much life revolves around being outdoors. Morning walks, paddleboarding, farmers markets, waterfront parks, beach days, boating, bike rides, and sunsets become part of your weekly routine instead of something you do on vacation. Truly a life spent outside… year round! During the summer, yes the summer can be brutal. But it’s okay because we also get to be outside in a tank top in the middle of January.
