It’s National Agriculture Month 🌾 so I went around Ohio State ATI asking students how they’re involved in the ag industry and honestly, the variety of answers was so cool.
Some grew up on farms. Some work in agribusiness. Some are into communications, livestock, crops, research and some are still figuring it out. That’s what makes agriculture so powerful. There isn’t one “right” background. There isn’t one path.
And that’s exactly why I love being involved in Agriculture Future of America.
AFA helps you take whatever your background is and turn it into opportunity. It connects you with strong industry leaders, helps you grow professionally, and really gives you that foot in the door no matter what part of the ag industry you see yourself in.
We all start in different places, but leadership is what brings us together and moves our industry forward. 💛🌾
National Ag Month is a reminder that agriculture isn’t just what we do it’s who we’re becoming.

Feeling incredibly grateful to be at the Oregon FFA State Convention this week! 🌾💙
There’s something so special about being surrounded by the next generation of agricultural leaders—students who are passionate, hardworking, and deeply rooted in the future of farming. From inspiring sessions to meaningful conversations, it’s clear that agriculture is in good hands.
Programs like Adopt-a-Farmer help bridge the gap between the classroom and the real world, and events like this remind me just how important those connections are. These students aren’t just learning about agriculture—they’re living it, leading it, and shaping what comes next.
Proud to support these young leaders and the incredible work they’re doing. 🌱✨

A lot of people still think FFA stands for “Future Farmers of America.” The truth? It doesn’t anymore.
In 1988, the National FFA Organization officially changed the name to simply “FFA” to reflect what the organization had become, and where it was going. Agriculture is bigger than just farming. It’s science, business, communications, technology, policy, and leadership.
FFA is for future agronomists, veterinarians, ag teachers, entrepreneurs, researchers, lawmakers, and yes, farmers too.
The blue jacket hasn’t changed. The mission hasn’t changed. But the opportunities have grown.
FFA isn’t just about the field anymore. It’s about the future of agriculture in every form. 🌾

FFA has grown beyond the stereotype.
It’s not about whether a student owns land — it’s about whether they want to lead.
When students see agriculture as something they’re already part of, the conversation shifts.
