AI compute is running out of room on earth. Starcloud is building the overflow — in orbit. Starcloud has secured $170 million in Series A funding to develop space-based data centers designed to handle the exploding compute demands of the AI era. As terrestrial data centers face mounting pressure from energy constraints, land costs, and cooling limitations, Starcloud is betting that orbital infrastructure is the most scalable solution. The funding will be used to develop and deploy satellite-based computing nodes that can process and store data directly in space — reducing latency for global operations and bypassing the physical bottlenecks slowing down AI infrastructure on the ground.
