A follow up to my last fly using only feathers from a ring neck pheasant rump. The individual feathers have amazing blue/olive tips that are shiny and iridescent, but the short marabou along the stem is great for fly bodies. Use them in a split thread or dubbing loop with a good strong thread like Textreme Power Thread 50d. Use both sides of feather and you’ll find one feather is often enough to fill a size 6 streamer hook like this Ahrex NS105. Nothing new or earth shattering but maybe it’ll help a few tiers out there.
