1970s Ferrari… two very different expressions of the same era… First unveiled at the 1975 Paris Auto Show, the 308 GTB marked Ferrari’s move from the Dino 246 GT into a sharper, more modern design language… this early “Vetroresina” example features the lightweight fiberglass body Ferrari used on just 808 cars before production shifted to steel… finished in Azzurro Metallizzato, it pairs a mid-mounted naturally aspirated V8 with a 5-speed manual and all the analog character that made the 308 an icon… Alongside it, the 512 Berlinetta Boxer brought even more drama to Maranello’s road car lineup… low, wide, and unmistakably 1970s, the BB paired its wedge-shaped Pininfarina design with a 5.0-liter flat-12 mounted behind the cockpit and a 5-speed manual sending power to the rear wheels… and with the Berlinetta Boxer, even the name carried a little mythology, long linked to Brigitte Bardot as one of Ferrari’s great bits of lore… Together, the 308 GTB and 512 BB captured two sides of Ferrari in the same decade… one light, agile, and precise… the other broader, rarer, and built with unmistakable presence…
