Taking you back to The Hip’s rehearsal space in 1994 🇨🇦🍁
In honour of Tragically Hip weekend, we’re taking the Time Machine back to the group’s rehearsal space in 1994, where the guys were busting out a cover of Rush’s “Limelight.”
The performance was included in the live broadcast of Rush’s induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at that year’s Juno Awards.
To this day, this is said to be the only known footage of them performing “Limelight” for the broadcast

The Tragically hip are truly unbeatable, and I wish they got a better chance down in the u.s
I also regret never getting to see them. But I have a very fond memory of being mangled at Pemberton music fest in 2016 and right as I was falling asleep at roughly 8am, @arkellsmusic started their sound check with a cover of this, and I said fuck it and grabbed a beer and “started” my day
Anyways, here’s My Music At Work. Rip Gord ❤️
