Some movies don’t rely on explosions, plot twists, or impossible stakes to leave an impact. They simply remind us what it means to be human. The Intern is one of those films. Ben Whittaker proves that experience never goes out of style, and that kindness, patience, respect, and wisdom are qualities that never become outdated. In a world obsessed with moving faster, being younger, and chasing success, this film quietly reminds us to slow down and appreciate the people around us.
Jules shows the pressure of balancing ambition, leadership, family, and self-doubt, while Ben teaches that sometimes the greatest strength isn’t giving advice—it’s simply being there when someone needs you.
Their friendship isn’t built on age, status, or expectations, but on trust, empathy, and genuine respect. The Intern reminds us that success means little if we forget compassion, that every generation has something valuable to teach the other, and that the smallest acts of kindness can change someone’s life. It’s a warm, comforting film that doesn’t just tell a story—it leaves you with a feeling you’ll carry long after the credits roll.
Some movies entertain you for two hours. Others quietly make you want to become a better person. This is one of them.

🎥: The Intern | (2015) | Comedy-Drama | Robert De Niro & Anne Hathaway
This is Nancy Meyers’ 2015 hit The Intern, starring Robert De Niro as Ben Whittaker, a 70-year-old widower who applies for a senior citizen internship at a fast-growing Brooklyn fashion e-commerce startup called About the Fit. Anne Hathaway plays Jules Ostin, the company’s tireless, workaholic founder and CEO who’s initially skeptical about having a septuagenarian assigned to her desk.
Despite the film getting mixed reviews from critics, audiences loved the chemistry between De Niro and Hathaway, and it turned into a genuine box office smash, pulling in nearly $196 million worldwide against a $35 million budget. Fun fact: this wasn’t originally an Anne Hathaway vehicle at all — the project went through development changes at Warner Bros. before landing its final cast, which also included Rene Russo and Adam DeVine as one of Ben’s fellow senior interns.
