🏕️ All the ultralight gear you bought isn’t going to help you if it’s not the right gear for YOU and the trips you’re trying to go on. 🥶 Cold sleeper? You need a sleeping bag and not a quilt! 🏔️ Sleeping in freezing temps? Too cold for a tarp, you’ll be wanting walls. 🐻 Need to carry a bear can and a week’s worth of food? Your backpack needs to be load rated for that. Get my FREE pdf guide on how to find the sleeping bag or quilt that’s right for you. Just comment guide and I’ll get you set up. ♥️✨ Miles and smiles and happy trails! #ultralightbackpacking #thruhike #pct #johnmuirtrail #backpackinggear

When we introduced the first DownMat in 2001, we changed what was possible in backcountry comfort, bringing true insulation and thermal efficiency into a category that long overlooked sleep. With decades of refinement, our new Synmat Plus Technology™ continues that legacy. It’s quiet when you move and reliable when temperatures drop. . . #exped #backpacking #upgrade #lightweight #thruhiking #camp #sleepingpad #insulation #explore
