France’s best hidden gem 🇫🇷💕
Some will say it’s too “boring”, others will say it’s too “countryside, while others will say it’s too “big and busy”.
And that’s exactly why I love Toulouse:
It’s not the typical big city.
It has everything you need while offering authentic south of France vibes.
It’s not hipster (yet) but very French and local while offering more modern places.
Life can be fast and slow depending on how you choose to experience it.
It can be challenging, but also very healing.
Welcome to Toulouse 💕

It’s the French hidden gem you don’t want to miss 💕
✨ T O U L O U S E ✨
Even on a grey day, Toulouse is buzzing.
Cafés are full. Terraces are humming. People are out walking, talking, lingering. There’s a vibrancy here that doesn’t depend on sunshine — it’s in the rhythm of the streets, the markets, the laughter echoing off those rose-colored buildings.
What I love most? The welcomeness.
Even if you only speak a little French, people are kind, patient, and encouraging. A simple “Bonjour” goes a long way here. There’s a politeness woven into everyday life — warm, but never rushed.
Things to do:
• Wander through Marché Victor Hugo for oysters, cheese, charcuterie, and a glass of wine upstairs.
• Stroll across Pont Neuf and watch the Garonne River roll by.
• Get lost in the charm of Place Saint-Georges for coffee and people-watching.
• Step inside Basilique Saint-Sernin and feel the history.
• Or just wander — because this is one of the most walkable cities in France.
Toulouse doesn’t just look beautiful.
It feels alive.

I’ve always found that describing someone or somewhere as « beautiful » was missing the point. And for me Toulouse is soo much more than that 🧡✨
