Getting back into this exercise bc I want to learn how to control my body language better. I gave a speech at Toastmasters last week and watching back on this clip made me realize that I have a lot to improve for my body language and hand gestures. I found this video and I like the way that she speaks so I’m gonna try to shadow her. #publicspeaking

Ahhhhhhhhhhh I did it!!!! Proud of myself and so grateful to have the toastmasters community be so supportive. I shared a pretty vulnerable story from when I solo traveled and almost cried on stage LMAO. Did not expect to get so emotional but I was rly going with the adrenaline. I got so much good feedback after the event. It was so validating to have people compliment your presence and truly made me feel on top of the world. I’ve only been a part of Toastmasters for 2 months but I can already see how it’s going to be life changing. I’m so excited for this journey!!!! stay tuned on @babystepstothemic !!

Speaking is not the same as saying something and I learned that the hard way. I have been speaking for over three decades, and some of my greatest lessons came from my earliest mistakes. Experience has taught me that passion, grammar, and applause are not enough. What truly matters is clarity, substance, and value.
