Download @FunLabApp to find many more science experiments and cool crafts ideas to do with your kids tonight. Comment FUNLAB to get the link to the app in your DM Today we’re transforming a battery and some magnets into an awesome electromagnetic motor. It’s simple, it’s fun, and it’s totally mind-blowing! ⭕ MATERIALS: - AA battery - Neodymium magnets - Copper wire - Flower-shaped paper piece - Screw ⭕ INSTRUCTIONS: (1) Fix the flower-shaped paper between two magnets. (2) Place the screw on top. (3) Touch the opposite side of the screw with AA battery. Magnets will hold the construction together. (4) Use the copper wire to connect the top of the battery with neodymium magnets and watch the flower spin mesmerizingly! ⭕ SCIENCE EXPLAINED: This experiment demonstrates the principles of electromagnetism. The electric current from the battery, flowing through the copper coil, creates a magnetic field. This field interacts with the neodymium magnets, causing the screw to rotate. The flower paper adds a visual delight, showcasing the motor’s movement #TheDadLab #scienceexperiment #scienceiscool

I AM NOT CRAZY. This is my 100% totally science-backed (it’s not) reasoning for why chili is a stew and not in its own category. Did I make graphics? Yes. Did I scare Michelle? Only slightly. She had to watch and now you do, too
You can dip an egg in water and pull it out completely dry, thanks to cinnamon! 🥚✨ Thanks to its natural oils, cinnamon powder is hydrophobic, forming a barrier that keeps objects totally dry underwater. @alexdainis explores this Everyday Awesome science and challenges you to test it with powders from your own kitchen! #Science #Hydrophobic #Experiment #Chemistry #Cinnamon

Here’s a clip of everyone “getting electrocuted” 😂 (Don’t worry, it’s totally safe and just static electricity! 😉) Some kids light up right away… and somehow, a few don’t conduct any electricity at all 🤣 Science is always full of surprises! 🔬✨

You’re totally going to flip out over this experiment! 🫨 See how to turn a water bottle upside-down with no spills below 👇 💧What you need: Bottle Fly screen Rubber band Water Toothpicks or matchsticks 💧How to do the upside-down bottle experiment: Cut out a small piece of fly screen that covers the opening of the bottle and extends over the sides slightly. Place the fly screen over the bottle and secure tightly with the rubber band. Fill the bottle with water through the fly screen. Tip the bottle upside down slowly if you want to see the water still be able to pour out. Flip the bottle over quickly to see how the water stays in place! BONUS EXPERIMENT: Take a toothpick or matchstick and push it up through the fly screen to watch it fly up the bottle! 💧What’s going on? Water has cohesive properties, meaning it sticks to itself. It is also adhesive, meaning it likes to stick to other surfaces too! Although air wants to enter the bottle when it’s flipped upside down, that force isn’t strong enough to counteract the water being attracted to both itself and the flyscreen, so the water stays put inside the bottle. When slowly tipping the bottle sideways, however, the increased pressure of the water on a certain area of the flyscreen is too much, and the air can flow in. But when you insert a toothpick, the water molecules form a seal around it and prevent lots of water from falling out, sucking it up inside! #kiwico #science #diy #experiments #diyathome #coolexperiments #explorepage
