I am no expert, but I don’t think I will ever look back and say “I did way TOO MANY camping trips and dog walks”
(AD) When we’re choosing a campsite, there’s one thing we always look for… a walk straight from the campsite 👣 As a family, those on-site (or step-out-the-gate) walks are some of our favourite moments, no driving, no planning, just fresh air and exploring together 💚 So with that in mind have you heard about the Caravan and Motorhome Club’s Walking Wanderers initiative? The idea? Get outside, get walking, discover scenic routes and log your miles! If you’re looking for inspiration, there are lots of walks curated by Mark Sutcliffe on OutdoorActive, and you can share your favourite finds along the way too. Plus there’s some prizes to be won every month! Fresh air, family time, better wellbeing. We’re in. Are you? 👇 #walkingwanderers #caravanandmotorhomeclub #getoutdoorsmore #caravanningwithkids #campsitewalks
5 reasons we still haven’t settled down after almost 5 years! 1. We’re always getting itchy feet. Just when we start to feel comfortable somewhere, the urge to explore somewhere new kicks in again. 2. There are too many amazing places in Australia we could call home. One week it’s a quiet lake like this, the next it’s red dirt, the coast, or the bush. Picking just one place feels impossible. 3. We genuinely love this lifestyle. Slow mornings, coffee outside the van, and the freedom to go wherever the road takes us. 4. Don’t like the front yard? We can just move. One of the perks of travelling is that if the view isn’t quite right… tomorrow we can find a better one. 5. People (hear us out). We love meeting incredible people on the road, but we also really value quiet time to recharge our social battery. Maybe one day we’ll settle down. But for now, we’re still enjoying the journey. Could you live like this?

What kind of caravan family are you? 👇 Some trips look like slow river walks, throwing stones and feeding the ducks. Some are big days out exploring places like National Trust and English Heritage. And sometimes we don’t leave the site at all — parks, scooters and wearing them out before bedtime 😅 We genuinely love a mix of it all. It depends on the mood… and the weather. But I’m curious — Are you: A️⃣ Slow nature days B️⃣ Big exploring days C️⃣ Stay-on-site days D️⃣ A bit of everything Tell me below 👇 I want to know what most people prefer! 🧭 Where the Pughs go #caravanlife #nationaltrust #englishheritage #makingmemories❤️
A couple of years ago we packed up the camper and headed through Wales and into the Peak District 🤍 Horse riding, white water rafting, climbing Pen y Fan, tobogganing, skiing… and a different place to sleep every night. Some nights booked, some fully winged — which, if you know me, was wildly out of character 😅 So many beautiful places, incredible scenery and proper core memories. Right up until the final twist… when the van broke down 2 hours from home. The journey home turned into a 12-hour saga involving three different recovery vehicles. Chaotic? Yes. Memorable? Also yes. Do we laugh about it now? Absolutely! Doing something similar again this summer, this time with friends. (What could possibly go wrong?!) Every time we step outside, we’re reminded of the simple things—rain, companionship, and the quiet that speaks loudest. What’s your reason for getting out there?” That invites engagement while staying true to your vibe. #UKWildCamping, #CampInTheUK, #BritishOutdoors, #TarpCampLife, and #WildernessBritain.
We’ve traded the bricks and mortar for life in SYD, our trusty home-on-wheels. After a lovely send-off from our son’s place, the wheels have been turning and the scenery has been changing fast. Our Route So Far: • 📍 Campbell Town – A great start to the journey. • 📍 Perth & Dundee – Taking in the sights and the fresh air. • 📍 Fife – Our current cozy spot last night. We’re taking the “slow road” now, meandering our way back towards Blackburn. There’s no rush when you’ve got everything you need right behind the driver’s seat! ☕️🌅 It feels amazing to finally be on the move. Stay tuned for more updates from the road! #camperlife #roadtripscotland #vanlifeuk #onthemove #wardens HomeIsWhereYouParkIt Fife BlackburnBound
Most people think they need a completely different life, when sometimes they just need to use their weekends better. You spend five days working, so those two days matter more than you realise. They don’t have to be big or perfect, they just have to feel different from the week. ❤️ Go somewhere, move your body, breathe properly for once 🌿❤️ If you only get 48 hours, make them yours ✨ #outdoors #uktravel #freedom #weekendescape
