This video comes from a place of fear, vulnerability, and honesty and keeping it together. As a trans woman from New Zealand, conversations around anti-trans legislation don’t just feel political — they feel personal. Identity documents aren’t just pieces of paper to us. They represent safety, recognition, and the ability to move through the world without constantly having to justify who we are. And when society starts debating who is “woman enough,” it impacts more than just trans people. It affects every woman who doesn’t fit narrow expectations of femininity. I hope this video encourages empathy, understanding, and compassion — because behind every debate are real human beings simply trying to live authentically and safely. 🖤 #TransRights #NewZealand #LGBTQIA #TransVisibility #HumanRights

Being a trans creator is celebrated for being your “authentic” self when it’s trendy but then cast away as soon as it’s uncomfortable, especially with all the negative discourse surrounding trans people all over the world and south of the border that’s coming to Canada. This is not surprising given all my life, I’ve been experienced this feeling of “the ball is going to drop” at any moment and never feeling “settled” In full transparency, never in my wildest dreams did I think I was going to come out publicly OR have this job in working with my dream brands. But, in the past couple of years I did notice the shift. I often felt like I was crazy taking about what I was feeling but we all noticed this past year, this past month - Pride budgets, awareness, support and celebrations were cut. So many brands that celebrated Pride openly and worked with queer creators stopped showing up completely, especially trans women as we are the current target in the administration. I’m sure you could think of a few brands 😉. I’m processing a lot and not sure where to go from here? Do I still continue to use the same brands that worked with me in the past but are afraid to include me in their campaigns now? Do I stop using products from brands that I know will never work with me but continue to send PR? Meanwhile, I see they include creators who do not even use their products doing a partnership or on their brand trip Do I stop showing brands who clearly see, and like my content and engage in my DMs but never will choose me? I don’t have the answers. But, here’s to continuing to create because I love what I do and the potential impact it could have for anybody who finds me. Anyway, let me go finish my makeup for the day. Let’s see who shows up in the comments 😌🫶🏽 #transisbeautiful #trans #transgender #🏳️‍⚧️ #makeup #beauty

Trans women deserve to be safe just as much as us. Including them in womanhood has 0 effect on us and if anything strengthens our community and women’s empowerment. Why are we allowing politicians to divide us. To the cis women celebrating this as a win I promise u they will come for our rights next. #transrights #transwomen #transgender #Igbtqia #transrightsarehumanrights #transwomenarewomen #feminism #intersectionality #Igbtqsafespace #intersectionalfeminism #thattamilfeminist #oveavickey #explore #transrights
