I went out to Turning Stone Resort and Casino for a mini food tour, and it was incredible! I was blown away by all the delicious foods I got to try. I even got a sneak peek at some of the operations, and the level of dedication and creativity in their kitchens is excellent. My first stop was the NY Rec and Social Club for their “Smokey Burger.” It’s a unique burger served under a glass dome filled with smoke! They reveal the burger table side for the ultimate experience. They even inject the burger with butter for maximum juiciness. Next, I went to TS Steakhouse for one of the best views in CNY. At TS Steakhouse, I got to try their Lobster Mac & Cheese, served on a half-shell. It’s incredibly creamy and cheesy with TONS of fresh lobster in it. Then I tried their Braised Beef and Crispy Polenta dish. This was a stand-out for me on the day. From there, I went to The Upstate Tavern and had one of the best Beef on Weck sandwiches I’ve ever had. Slow-roasted beef that’s shaved and piled high on the bun. This was absolutely incredible and worth a trip to Turning Stone just for this alone. Next, I went to Sushi Sushi for some delicious sushi rolls, specifically the Sunshine roll with shrimp, avocado, spicy crab, yuzu mayo, passion fruit ponzu, and tobiko. This was so fresh and delicious. My final stop was Opals for some desserts. I got the carrot cake (not pictured) and this incredible cheesecake. Creamy and smooth, tangy, and balanced. As a special bonus, the 19-member Chittenango High School Select Choir will join Foreigner onstage for “I Want to Know What Love Is.” Director Matt Stearns said this video audition of “Waiting For A Girl Like You” earned them the spot. The food, drinks, service and atmosphere were stellar, and the prices were very reasonable, especially considering how exclusive it felt! It was casual and relaxed with comfortable seating, huge TVs, bar games, arcade games, and more. It's like a big kids dream clubhouse.
